bought this phone 3 days ago,and im certainly please with it!
its has a big screen which is good for viewing photos,and both its camera and audio quality is good too,esp for the price

helo..
before the firmware upgraded to 6.43 (from 6.10), my phone cant send an MMS.
after upgraded i can send MMS.

i bought this N-6288 2 weeks ago: brilliant screen under direct sunlight, soft-quick respond keypad, smooth sliding system but weak construction (already loosen in the gap in just 2 weeks), poor radio reception, equalizer doesn't work for radio-just the music player, preset equalizer modes not too much different, too much scrolling text in web/email format, poor battery performance (just 2 days in normal operation, send/receive sms 10-15 a day, 2 or 3 phone calls and even worst if radio on all day), charging battery needs 4 hrs?? c'mon! bad camera in low-light situation, flash not working that good. poor quality earphone....it hurts your ears!

hey guys i saw this phone 2day n i liked its looks so can anyone of u tell me should i buy it or not,actually i want a phone with a very nice display having high resolutions n sexy sound clarity like 6270 so can anyone that is this has all these qualities plz reply me soon plzzzzzz its really urgent plzz?

this is a hell gd phone and its got a $29 plan with the fone for free!!!

6288 is all over good phone. its battary supper 4 GSM. not 4 3G. some ppl reports that it has bed battary. becoz those battery is not original. 6288 has 1100 mAh Poly Battery, which use in N73..
Its camera is good as 2 mega.
display is big 2.2". sound quality N video is Boss.
Its bad side is phone memory 4.5, its s40. u cant take any pic n video in fornt camera.
For fation,rich looking, it is batter.
N80,N95 slide not smooth as 6288.U must buy made by Finland. n use 1GB. moreover u should not use any software(JAD,JAR). Than u never find any probm as like HANG.
By following my rulls u can never find any prbm. OK friends if u find any other prbm u must in4m me.....

Quick Query can a 6288 complete housing thats front and back cover and both key pads fit onto a normal 6280

I have had this phone for over 3 weeks now...Its been great actually. Its simple unlike the S60 phones it isnt prone to viruses and stuff. I like the sound quality but the only downside is the loudspeaker is too soft. The camera is preety good as well. I would say its a very good buy for someone who is looking for a simple music and camera phone.

To jc = hi..i saw ur message.i've been using 6288 for the past 4 months.its really gud.i had nvr had this problem of the slide mechanism.When u buy it,u have to check the back when u slide.if the screw is in,meaning ur phone is in gud shape.my frewn bought the phone and the screw was out and it was very rough when he slide the phone but everyday i've been sliding my phone like more than 10 times but still no loose.Just buy it..if there is a problem then go to a nokia shop then...

to Jen,I'm using 6288.5300 is better in music.6288's music is also loud but only under the headset

Hello every body , I have this phone since 1 month ago , everything is ok , i am really surprised about Camera , it looks perfect under sun or good light condition, it is like a N73 3megapixel cam , believe me ! but i agree with ppl here saying about poor resolution in a dark places or less lighting places , but any way it works better if you switch the flash on when you take photos in the night hours !
About music , i really satisfied about it even if he is not professional in music like 3250,5700,5300, coz these phones are better in the music tools inside it, otherwise the sound of music is the same when you put a headset, also it has a perfect MP4 player & great extra 512 memory ..
The screen in this phone is brilliant & big..
in a few words this phone is perfect for a low price phone ! it has almost every thing in a low price !

The 6288 is one of the most reliable nokia phones in the market... very easy to use and very sophisticated... u must be crazy is u dont like it

problem solved! i bring my fone to nokia center and upgraded the firmware from 6.10 to 6.43.(i already tried to update from 5.92 to 6.10 by myself but still no good).

i encountered this 'not enough memory' problem too. This error occured when i was trying to view pictures. BTW,im using 2G memory card and there's still about 1G of free space left. I do not know why there's not enough memory to view picture of a size of 128kb only.

music is okay, pop-port gets loose like all nokia fones.. camera quality sucks sooo much i never use it, wasted money, shouldve gotten 5300 or 5200.. battery life is good i suppose..

just used it for about 3 weeks,the battery life is good,the speaker is good,the slide mechnism is smooth but a lil bit loose,im using the 5.92 version,any1 know how 2 upgrade?btw the video quality is at best compared to nokia N73 that is always lagging,but camera is poor in dark condition though is great during day(enough light),to any1 is about 2 purchase this phone,it's a damn bargain,good phone at a hell of a low price,therefore dont hesitate 2 buy it;)
