just go to setting-network-choose gsm instead of dual mode. That's what i did. I hope it's right
Just bought black one today also. Curious coz of the buzz in the reviews. It's kinda squeaky not sturdy enough. But it looks nice and i like it

Jen,
I think the 6288 is better, the 5300 is ugly, it gets dirty quick and the camera & video aren't as good as the 6288's. I've only used the 6288 once but looking at the spec I would rather get the 6288.

Jonathan:
When you enter the NOKIA MUSIC MANAGER with your phone connected, you can find the music list of your phone. You highlight it, then from the top menu "file" and "Create New Playlist", you can create the Playlist file.
Then you just draw and drop whichever the song you like into the file.
In you phone, when you play the music, select the music list, sellect "Options", then you can change to the playlists you made.

PPL, i have a question, is there any limit to the size of the JAVA applications that you can install in this phone? I ask this because i know that in the case of the Nokia 6280, the maximum size of a java application that can be installed in the phone is 500Kb, which in my humble opinion sucks... another questoins, when you play videos in full screen, are the pause/stop menu buttons constantly disturbing the video? (as in d case of d 6280...) Thanks 4 answering ppl!!!

Overall a very good phone. Doesn't hang, restart like the Nseries i was using. Quick screen change too. Very loud and clear songs, as good as the famous 6230. If u miss 6230, go for this one. Agree with Jeremy totally.
