Hey, thnx so much Keita!!! But, now i went 2 research d matter on d net n i found that Cingular has 3g in a UMTS network... Now, i also want 2 know bout whether u can have ur own playlists in this phone, n whether u can watch videos widescreen without d disturbing pause/stop labels on d screen. Plz answer ppl, these things matter a lot 2 me!! Thnx in advance ppl!!!

am planning to buy a phone.... my choices are nokia6288,nokia n70(music edition),se w810i... please guide me.. also tell me which one has better loudness and clarity among n70 and 6288...

I got a problem. After my phone memory is full, i m supposed to save my images/video on memory card (512mb). Bt y cant i save thm?Must i allocate (add) files accordingly to images, tunes, video etc in my memory card? Can someone kind to answer me?

the reason you can't use 3g in america casue this phone is umts and in america 3gphones are cdma! get it?

Hi, am thinking bout bying this phone, but i have some questions: Does d mp3 player allow you to set ur own playlists???? When u play videos in full screen, are they always disturbed by pause and stop control menus (like 6280)??? Can i use the 3G technology in the US (i read dat u can't, but i don't get why...)??? Plz ans my questions... U'll really help me, thanks so much!!!

some queries answered..
1.well taking the faceplate off is kind of complicated,but there's a video tutorial on you tube.com showing how to remove it on the 6280..
2.yes the 6288's graphics & user-interface is really gud..
3.no sliding creaks at all,slides smoothly..but when closed you'll feel the top part is a bit shaky,it's not a problem though..
4.music wise,the phone is reasonably good performer..it's got a stereo loudspeaker,stereo music player & equaliser settings..audio sounds loud & clear..
5.battery life's is quite good..on heavy usage it lasts for about 2days max,only messaging would give about 3-4ddays..
6.yes,you can set video ringtones/videos for incoming call..
7.it comes with a 8X Digital zoom and like any other cam,the image becomes grainy at the max. zoom level..at 2x & 4x the image is pretty gud..

was wonderin, how good is the zoom...if there is any and the batery life. how good is it?
i know nokia has great battery lives but wanna make sure this one isn't an exception.

I bought 6288 in Malaysia on 25/4 but the phone itself came from s'pore because all the preset gprs setting are s'pore telcos like singtel etc. So if you bought 6288 in your place without telco contract you will get all the main s'pore telcos setting in your gprs setting, but if you bought with one specific telco you will only get that telco setting- I assume only hehe.
You are also considering 6233- just like me before i bought 6288. Mainly for 3g video call with my wife's se w850. I am pretty sure all user interface of 6233/6288 are almost identical (the "paper specs"). But if you don't need that video call fxn, there is no need to think buy 6233, it still support other 3g connectivity. Other reason to buy 6233 stereo speaker is definitile give better and louder sound. 6288 have only one speaker on left side which produce below average volume. You must almost always turn the ringtone volume to highest if not you will not hear the ringtones if the phone put in the pant pocket. When you use the loudspeaker while playing mp3 avoid using full volume as the sound will become so irritating to your ear( using earphone is recommended for music play). Really missed my Alcatel s853 with outstanding stereo speaker. If you don't like the included earphone can always use bluetooth stereo headset- I use I-Tech R35, it support both A2DP/ AVRCP profile.
About slider mechanism- it does not produce creaking sound but it is a bit loose when you move it side to side and too easy to slide up. SE W850 has more solid sliding mech. This is another point why you should buy the candybar 6233. Designwise , it's all about your personal liking but for me and most user here the design is very very nice, just need an outer protective casing to protect the housing.
Last comment before choosing 6233/6288- price different about RM10 0. RM820 for 6288 vs ~RM750 for 6233.

I really, REALLY NEED you guys to help me in whether i should get this phone. ppl in the handphone industry, ppl who have dis fone are most welcome.
Firstly, are there sliding creaks? problems? any problem with running the phone/lag?
Design?
And is it true the one from the telcos are worst than the one straight from Nokia? (Im from singapore)
Sound: Music wise is it good? loudspeaker, clear or distorted? hows the audio quality overall?
Look i may look like a noob by asking so many questions but i hope anyone here can help. thks a lot.

Is there a FM radio ?Because @nokia.com and other sites says that it hasn't radio.Also i have read the specifications sheet of this phone and there isn't a radio on this phone.Pls tell me to know if there's a radio..
