i really love my black nokia 6288...very fashionable...super cool...yet simple but very elegant!!! pretty hope this would be my very "last nokia cellphone" (as what i've always said to myself huh!) to nokia...keep up the good work!

6288 cant say the best fone available in market.....but u can know its the best fone available in market.....compare the same price fones.....its standing with....high cost fones.......its really super one!!!!!!!!

i love the 6288 model, beautiful. But the slide may be smooth but it will loosen after awhile....other then that, its totally cool

this phone is good overall, pretty stable. but if you have used sony k750i or something similar you'd be disappointed.

easy to manage files
batt life isn't too bad
video recording is awesome
smooth communication with pc
good speaker, sound quality also pretty good
a bit big
can't use the front camera(is it only for 3g? then what a waste)

build quality (can't be samsug for slide)
somewhat dull sliding mechanism
flash is useless at night
no night mode with flash on
flash can't be used as torch(I found the led is very bright so it would have been very useful if the fuction allowed you to used the flash as torch)
lack of auto focus (sony k750i which is almost 2yrs old beat 6288 for camera quality easily)
key pad is somewhat uncomfortable and keys are very narrowly placed and small, the worst part is the top 3 keys 1,2,3 which interfere with the bottom of the slide so hard to reach/type.
customisation of menu would have been helpful
overall
7.5 to 8 out of 10
8 for those who are buying mid to highly priced phone for the first time
7.5 for those who have used 2.0 mega pixel phone or similar spec'd phone b4
even if you are samsung or sony ericsson person, it is not as hard as getting used to other nokia phone
pretty good phone IMO
PS. camera is just average but pretty disappointing as 6288 is still new to the market however video recording is good
music player is not bad but with a bit of enhancement, it would make it outstanding

I bougt this phone 3 weeks ago,it's best phone,i changed many phones,i think some phones are good and some not :),try to buy a MADE IN FINLAND phone and new.GOOD LUCK

i tried *#0000* but it doesn't show but I can see it from the menu anyway...also any good site for downloading games and application?
last of all, is there a software that let you use the flash as a torch? Thanks in advance

6233 is better than the 6288 the only difference is the appearane! we are writting from optus world if there are problems get your insurance or ext war to fix them! other than that the new 6233 is better, it has better software etc.

I bought it in Spain through Vodafone.
It came with usb cable, stereo hands free headsets and 512MB SDcard. It was a bargain.

the cable is for sure no wrong bout that, the card size varies and the 3.5mm, erm i never got it seriously but i think it depends on your line.

I have bought last week a 6288 and after only 5 days the slide went crazy ... and i had to send the phone to service .
It is not good . Dont buy one ... to big , software is wrong ... buy a e50 because is much better ...
