Hi "help!". I'm pretty sure it's meant to come with a 512 mb memorycard. It least that's what it says in the ads here...
It also says so on Nokia's homepage.
Follow this link and you can see it for yourself: http://www.nokia.dk/phones/6288/features.php

Nevermind whatever is written in danish, just go to the bottom of page where the content of the sales package is listed :-)

    Cheers!

My findings after purchasing and using the Nokia 6288:

Slider: The sliding function is nice. You can set to answer or hang up calls when u open or close the slide. Really smooth.

Power: This phone has some power saving functions. The most notable one is the sleep function where the phone complete switches off the screen after a certain amount of time. The phone is still on but the screen is switched off until a call comes or you touch the keys.

Connectivity: USB cable and Bluetooth connection to the computer is perfectly working. The Nokia suite is working perfectly with the phone. You can also call, send messages from ur phone from ur PC with the software.

Sound: The quality is good and above par. Don't really use as a walkman or mp3 player cause the battery will drain fast. Ringtones and sound is really good.

Camera: The photos are nice, good quality, especially clear outside. Photos taken inside are good with enough lighting, but can be a little graining if there is not enough light.

SAR Level: Maximum level is 0.70 or 0.80, depends on the 6288 model

Battery: A phone battery is always a phone battery. I wasn't expecting a miracle or anything. It does its job good. Not probs with charging the phone either.

Design: Good, sleek, trendy, and user friendly design. Nice to be seen with.

Memory: Mine came with a 64Mb MiniSD. A 512 at my local shop is 47 bucks. Its alright. The phone can also be used as a memory stick. Just remember to bring ur USB cable with u always and just Plug and Play :> (no nokia suite is required for this purpose.)

Conclusion: Its a good 3G phone at a decent cost (I have it with 3 on a cap plan). The Nokia 6288 has excellent call quality, quick response, sleek design, and produces excellent sounds (ringtones, music, video). Its a good slider phone and I dare say, its above comparable to all 3G slider phones in its class and price range. Good SAR level, better than alot of other 3G slider phones around (especially the Samsung D600, No sledging, just tell the facts from my research). Also, the radio works fine.

Overall, its the complete phone you'll need plus hell of alot more.

Nevermind, finally got it off, just weak hands I guess, used the top tip of a pen to push against the bottom of the cover, much easier than fingernails or using your thumbs/friction :-)

Just picked up my "free upgrade" on 3 to the Nokia 6288

Just trying to charge the damn thing and now I remember what the little irksome thing about Nokias that frustrated me so much, How the @$%#$! can I easily get the back cover off without using a sledgehammer???? :-P

Trying to hold it away from me using both thumbs to slide it upwards, freakin thing won't budge....any of you have any simple tips?

                    Cheers.

This is possibly the worst purchase i have ever made. I bought the phone in Hong Kong in november. From the fist day i bought it, it has been nothing but trouble. The battery last for around 20 hours. I am now back in the Uk (it is an open phone)I have contacted Nokia about the fault, but the only way they can sugest getting the thing repaired is for me to retune to HK. I may as well just throw the thing in the bin. I will never buy another Nokia product. The company are in my opnion no better than a bunch of sharks, they have my money, and have totaly abdicated from thier respoinsiblity to supply a serviceable product.

                          >>>Maxbomb

its depend on the format of your song. A 4min mp3 format song with 128KBits CBR Bitrates would be around 5mb(Can put around 100 songs) while the same song with a wav format would be around 20mb(only can put about 20 songs)

i just got this phone a few days ago and so far its going quite well but there are a few down sides:
you cant send mp3 using multymedia and when using the mp3 and camera the battery drains nearly within the day or maybe ive be using it to much because its bran new but who cares because the the mp3 is great and the camera is as good as your eye sight.

I got my lovely nokia 6288.and folks im in love no other phone on the market has ever satisfy my technological needs.a feature which is cool is that when your listening to the radio the preset ringtone interrupts the radio so you can hear it ringing.the camera is clear as day ,the video call to die for if you love technology buy this one.

I've had my share of SmartPhones. And I didn't think I'd go back to a Nokia. But the 6288 has definitely changed my mind. I got my wife one as well. I'm very pleased with it.
