I've owned the phone for just a week and I am realy impressed. Great camera, excellent connectivity and a very good battery.
This is one of the best phones I've tried the past year.

True flash belongs to digicams only. All the rest are fakes - no performances!

i said this and im WRONG >>>this is way better than sonyerricson w850i there both the same in terms of camera same camera features so u aint loosin anything but in this u get the best menu system becuse its SERIES 40 NOKIA that rulzz

well K790a has a veryy bad joystick gives blisters to thumbs ..i have a 6280 the menu is good all nokia menus are good i have owned a 6233 aswell its a wicked fone 6233 but it feels kinda big and chunky its good though but it has no camera functions no (autofocus)or flash ....this 6288 has flash and im sure a good camera and comes with a 512mb miniSD so its good for music and camera ...so i think this is perfect for u

Both those look good, but no FM & like you say, interface is not so great. Also I have had good luck w/ Nok & SE before.
"but hey SAMSUNG leads the firmness and stability of the mobiles." If you mean Sammy slider mechanism is solid, may be worth a try. Just need to find a headset w/ FM!

how come nobody mention about the video quality of this phone. What is the resolution of this? Is it the same as 6280?

anyway agree with The judge: see the 3mp shoot out of K800 and N80 and see how even the best 2mp camera K750 looses in infinity focus mode against K800 and N80, anyway also look for the mobile-review comparison between SE's A100 platform against S40 from Nokia. but is understandable for drew's part because it's his own verdict. though it's a mistake man,:-D

why wont you try D900/D600 if you want a stable and solid mobile, all those you've mention are worth the money for its features, but hey SAMSUNG leads the firmness and stability of the mobiles. though the problem is that it has quite boring interface. unlike in the nokia and SE's one... for the best choice take the W810, it has proven better than any camera/music mobiles out there it has excellent audio quality and best 2mp camera. another is the 6233 (note that it is not a slider or anything that has moving joints,covers and etc. so it is very solid and reliable) and also the video is quite as good as N93's one and has intuitive and exciting interface as SE but if you wanted a best for features but the most fragile of the 3 i've mentioned: get 6288 it has everything a non-os mobile-phone must have.

@ 786, Drew, any other multi-phone owners:
I'm trying 2 decide on a new phone (my v300 has sucked 4 far too long & is finally dying). I need a good *phone* w/EDGE 1st. FM, MP3 are must haves, 3G not so much. No flips. Sliders must be solid & sturdy (I'm a klutz). I'm liking the following: 6288 (many good features, OK 4 fixed focus cam w/flash, great display, but is slide strong?) 6233 (also well featured, stereo speakers, but kinda buggy & no online updates yet?) k790a (great cam & display, nice landscape browser, but cramped keys & expensive) w810i (nice sized Walkman phone w/EDGE & good cam, but does earpiece volume turn calls into hassles?). Which would you guys choose as best all around 4 a 1 phone owner like me?

i use this phone for 2 days. thereis no timer during call. only summary at the end of the call. i searched in the log and call setting as i expected as in 6630 or 7610 which i used earler. but couldnt find can any one help me?
