And you cannot have two alarms in one day but you can put an reminder thru organiser. It works fine. Dont you think so.

Where in the world are you and what's the price for a new 6300 and new 6120 in your country ?

I must warn you if you decide to go for the 6120 the learning curve won't be as easy as the 6300 as the 6120 uses a Operating System known as Symbian which is more complicated than Nokia's own Operating System (Nokia OS).

No, you cannot view nor send messages while a application or game is running because this series Nokia doesn't support mulitasking.

The ONLY form of multitasking you can do with this phone is to listen to audio whether from the Music Player or Radio and do something else like view, send a text message or view contacts or anything else you can think of.

To do that just start the audio from either source then press the 'End' key (red button) to go back to standby mode...then you can perform any other task you wish to while the audio is playing in the background.

The Nokia 6300 is a series 40 (s40) phone. If you want to be able to truly mulitask, you have to get a series 60 (s60) phone...like the Nokia E50, N70, 6120 classic etc.

Keep in touch and let me know what you plan to do.

billy, 04 Aug 2008From all of the comments below I would want to know if t... moreBILLY, you better look elsewhere.

You WON'T be able to make that many calls at so many minutes and do all the other stuff you mentioned on a single charge.

Let me put it this way, I was able to get a total of 4 hours worth of talk time on a single charge, at 2 calls a piece...the battery died right after.

The calls you want to make on a single charge, let's say 12 calls at 20 mins...that's exactly 4 hours worth of talk time. There wouldn't be any charge left for you to send text, play 1 hour of music and take photos.

You better find a s60 phone like the E50 which have a standard talk time of 6hr. 40 mins. with the battery that comes in the sales package and an optional extended battery (you have to buy this separately) which will give you 8 hours of talk time.

The 6300 simply CANNOT do all that you want to do on a single charge.

Please let me know the outcome of your decision.

I would want to know if this phone is worth buying as of today keeping in view my need for a phone as
                                  1) sending sms
                                  2)making 10-12calls a day of 20-30mins duration
                                  3)using the radio/stored music for 1hr a day
4)clicking/storing pictures....(in terms of the capacity of the camera functionality)
how many hours does the battery actually last

its camera sucks indoors. it needs a lot of light present, otherwise your whole picture turns into fuzzy greenish pixels.
plus, the low battery life. i have to recharge everyday because i leave my bluetooth on.
internal memory sucks too (only 10 MB), with only 5 MB internal to spare, i can't receive large files on bluetooth because it can only store it in the internal memory, can't configure it to use the memory card for received files.
