          To SAM:

It's not possible to downgrade, that's why I can't revert back to 5.0. Even so, I would probably regret not having the loud recording volume if it was possible to go back to go back to 5.0 so I'm not all that unhappy.

In purchasing a new 6300, If your are only able to get 6.01 then don't worry. I find that the factory installed firmwares are stable straight from the box. So don't worry, go with the 6.01.

                      To SAM:

As far as I'm concerned, version 5.0 is the best of the lot because it's the most stable and boots up faster.

The only problem with 5.0 is that the recording volume level doesn't have a loud playback...which was adjusted in 5.5.

I don't notice any difference in screen brightness among 5.0, 5.5 or 6.01. I have experienced all 3 on my phone and the brightness is the same level.

My phone came with version 5.0 and never had a heating nor battery issue so I can't say which is best for those problems. In my opinion, anything from 5.0 up is the way to go as quite a few issues were fixed in 5.0 and nothing much fixed since.

If I could turn back the hands of time, I would go back to 5.0.

Which is the best version for this phone V5.5 or V6.01?I have seen today the V6.01 and i think screen brightness is not as bright as V5.5,previously i was using V5.5 i sold it due to some reason now i think V5.5 is better. What do you suggest which version is good which has solution for its problems heating one and bad battery life?need your reply soon.

Jusz two days ago, I bought a nokia BL-4C made in Europe but distributed by "Discovery Kenya Limited". I've played music 4 a whole day, browsed da internet, made calls and my bats hasnt gone dead. I love ma fon. I realised dat dis fon comes wid a kind of fake battery. Plz dont use BL-C5.

My only gripe about this phone is that the ringing could be louder. It's hard to hear in noisy environments...and the ringing is one of the most important aspects of a phone. Other than that it's a lovely phone.

Regardless of what you want to say it's number 1 in sales. So many units wouldn't have been sold if it was as bad as many of these people in here claim. Either some of these people is lying through their teeth or they got a bad batch. Bottomline, mine works fine, battery life is good, end of story.

DANI, since you have gone back to SE...even though tomorrow you will say Nokia is the best again...I suggest you stay in the SE forum. No need to be in Nokia forum anymore. Be like me and stay in the forum you rate. I will stick to Nokia forums, can you stick to SE forums ?
