I'm in the island of Jamaica.
I hope your new 6300 works out well. Please let us know what's going on with it as the days go by.
I heard that Hungary had produced a few bad batches of 6300s where a transistor was missing which resulted in the memory card disappearing about 5 minutes after the phone was turned on. Maybe your first Hungarian made 6300 was one of those with a factory fault.
Mine was made in Hungary and I have had no problems whatsoever. I honestly cannot complain.
My previous phone (6230) was made in Hungary and never had any problems after 2 years of using it. I consider Hungarian Nokias as high quality Nokias.
A question, the phones you receive from your company, are they branded or unlocked ? When I say branded I mean if they are locked to a network like Orange, Vodaphone etc. or do you get them sim free and not locked to any network operator ?

To MJE:
You say that some people are like Sheep in here but you forgot to mention one particular person acts like a fool, the person who kept on spamming the forum saying 6300 is worst & 5310 is best. No sensible person would do that repeatedly. That perso needs to grow up.
Many people in here have lost the focus on what the forum is really about. So many OTHER phones are mentioned in here when it should only be one, the 6300!!!
I have to praise the 6230 forum which is four years old now, no one in that forum strayed from the point which is discussing the 6230.
Everyday I get sick and sick of the crap that goes on in here.

I agree K550i is a good phone, but still no comparism to 6300's Stainless Steel Body and Telephony and Music Playback is Great in 6300

XpressMusic Player
Stainless Steel Body
Nice to Hold
Good Looking
Sexy
Keypad is as great as i said it was
Great UI Love it
Camera is Good enough for a 2MP
nah i mean seriously we all know No Phone is Perfect soo why argue and compare.
I LOVE the 6300, for alot of reasons iv had 2 of them already and Loved both
coming from a 6233 to 6300 is like coming from Angelina Jolie to Jennifer Aniston!

@ o.j did you get my number ok? Where in world are you? I've been given a 6300 by work again (a different one to one before) made in finland this time. I'll monitor battery and heat issue with this one. My last one was made in hungary.

6300 has Great Style, Dull Performance & features, Camera Works only in light, Sound is very poor, Overall 1 STAR phone.
I think Nokia is enjoying Companies goodwill in India otherwise this company is not near to compete with Sony Ericsson.

6300 could be bad phone due to getting hot problem and lousy battery performance but the screen is mind blowing. I too prefer 5310 which has 16 million colour screen to low performance 6300. There is no legitimacy in 6300 reviews as Nokia is marketing two different quality mobiles in the world market.

Dude, the colours dont matter i soppose
Nokia's Quality of Display's just dont look Natural at all.....
i put the same picture on both phones 6300 and K550i
The image looked so Realistic and Natural on the K550i
even i was shocked i was thinking what is the 16M Doing on the 6300 then???
as for the Keypad of 6300 i dont get mistakes all the time only sometimes i press 1 button i get like 3 from other buttons:S
Im not dissing 6300, iv owned 2 within 1 Year but still im kind off getting sick of it now. after owning 2 i think im getting Bored !
i need to change phones, i dont like 5310 or nany new Nokia's
K550i or maybe a SE Hmmmm..il see anyway for now 6300 !

To all of the people having problems with the battery i seriously suggest you buy an extra one. there very cheap and could save time if you are on jorneys and so on.Just a thought

SE phones are only good in music but the screen can't be read under the bright sunlight at all. Nokia's 16 million colour screens are the most superior screens available presently no matter what the light conditions are still the visibility is outstanding and no other phone manufacturers dont even come close to it. No motorolas no samsungs no SEs etc etc can beat Nokia screens in terms of clear visibility. 5310 is far superior than any other models in many ways. Nokia means mobile and mobile means Nokia forever.

I rarely make spelling errors when texting with my 6300. Accuracy is just as good as 6230 and everybody knows 6230 had one of the best keypads ever made.
I am yet to see a 262,000 colour display which even comes close to 6300 display. The major players from SE like the W810, K750 etc. doesn't come close and these are high-end SE phones...so I simply don't see how a low-end K550 can beat 6300's display.

the Keypad on 6300 Feels good but it lacks when texting ..constant spelling mistakes!

I think SE K550i is better then the 6300
my friend has a K550i i put it Head to Head with my 6300
the only things i find better in 6300 compared to K550i are:
16M Display
240+320 display
Stainless Steel Body
Louder Loudspeaker but the Sound quality is not as good as K550i
this is what i found better in K550i:
Fine Display even with 176+220
Natural Colours and Clear display compared to 6300's
Better Music Player (Walkman 1.0)
Excellent Sound Quality Loudspeaker and Earphones
The 2MP Camera with Autocus and Flash with Camera Cover(murders 6300's camera)
Design is Slimmer and feels Stronger
Better D-Pad easier to control
the Keypad on K550i might look weird but its acchewly one of the best iv ever used! smooth and never a spelling mistake...
Menu is Faster and never slows down even with 4GB M2 !
this is my conclusion after seeing K550i i think id rather get that then 6300, i only like the Steel Body and 16M Display in 6300...
otherwise i would say K550i is a Much Much better Phone!

5310's looks and performance is outstanding compared to other phones in it's category.
