everybody is not that lucky. my experience is very very bad. Apart from the defective product the after sales service is probably the worst, My set has stopped working despite my proper handling and the company is not bothered about the plight of its customers. This is not acceptable in any other country than ours.the indifference and arrogance of both company is criminal and they will have to pay for that in the court of law.. I have enquired from others who are using Nokia-6300 and nobody is satisfied with the functioning of this model.

The product is bad and after sales service is deplorable. Battery standby time is less than 30 minutes and the inbuilt battery charging jack socket comes out of the cell phone. it starts giving trouble after 2 weeks of use and later the set become dead.
My Nokia 6300 mobile set, which I purchased in August,2007 started giving trouble from very begining and later on became a dead set. Nokia Care Centre did not carry out repair even after keeping the set for 2 days and further damaged the set besides breaking the memory card. Numerous e-mails sent and phone calls made to the Nokia Care and its central offices for replaceement. No concrete reply nor any action. Apathetic and irresponsible attitude of the company forces you to feel cheated and harassed. The set is really bad and so is the company. It is selling substandard and defective sets in India and cheating people. Never touch a Nokia Mobile set. It is a buy and cry set.

Maybe 6300s better version of Symbian platform could've improved the device's functionality, but that depends on everyone’s taste. The battery cannot "sustain" the big bright display, thus you'll register fast depletion of energy.

This fone is rubbish, Like Bradley said the battery life stinks and texting is a nightmare unless you have tiny fingers and now the vibrate has stopped working and I didn't even drop it. Don't buy this fone waste of money, Nokia just don't make them like they used to.

I am desperate to get rid of my 6300 already and go back to the more functional sony Ericsson's. The battery life is terrible, there is not enough memory capacity for video, picture and it even doesn't save new words when using predictive text which drives me crazy. It also feels too slender and effeminate. A complete waste of an upgrade so i am buying either the sony W810i or the new k850i.

              Guest.'s recommendation

              Good Points
              Looks good

              Bad Points
              Battery life, poor speaker

              General Comments
This is my 5th handset from orange and still i am having the same problem with the speaker, when i make a call or receive a call people are always complaining that they can not hear me clearly, even when i have my bluetooth on in my car all i get is background noise and its so frustrating.
I have always had a Nokia phone and this 6300 is one of the worst phone that nokia has ever made, I have also made a compliant to Nokia about this and they still have not come back to me. This is the worst Nokia phone that Nokia has ever made and i strongly recommend to all those of you who are wishing to purchase a 6300 i recommend that you keep away from this phone.

I've had the Nokia 6300 phone for 2 months and am now having to charge the battery every other day. I'm only talking for a maximum of 20 minutes a day and sending a few text messages. Am considering selling it on ebay and buying a Sony Ericsson.

The Nokia 6300 is a nice tactile phone with great features but completely let down by diabolically poor battery life.

Good Points: Good design, fast wap, great camera

Bad Points: Battery life, hands free voice dialling. No data cable with phone

General comments: I've been given the Nokia 6300 as an upgrade from the Nokia 6320i and I'm really disappointed. Funnily enough I actually use this as a phone for business, a point that has been overlooked by Nokia in their attempt to make it appeal to texters and those that take meaningless pictures all the time. The most annoying thing about the 6300 is the voice dialling which worked perfectly well on my original Nokia using my own voice to confirm the name. On the 6300 every contact is automatically given electronically generated voice dialling which sounds like Stephen Hawking. This either doesn't recognise the name or dials the wrong number which makes it useless for in the car. Other people in our office had Ericson phones which came with data cable unlike the 6300 which uses a different cable to my previous 6320i meaning more expense. The Bluetooth works well but drains the battery even faster which means that I cannot use the phone for a full working day without charging it up. The result of all this is I've put the 6300 back in its box and I 'm using my old 6320i Come on Nokia get a grip!!!

6300 is a BAD Phone, my battery lasts 1.5 days even with just Telephony

                        Nokia has lost its charm.

the only good thing about 6300 is DESIGN.

id rather look at it then use it .

A really boring phone. It's ordinary, nothing so special about this phone. Shine ke770 LG beats this phone in its characteristics & even though this phone is a little thin, it still looks bulky & to square.

Great phone lots of good features although battery life is not great compared to my old Nokia 6230i, mine heats up sometimes while on a call for 5 mins or more, does anybody know why & is it a danger to users. Otherwise great phone.

Loved this phone when bought it, sleek design & easy to use.

WRONG! The design is very nice but does not stand up to normal daily use. I take care of my phones but this one scratches if you just look at it.

Worryingly this phone heats up during a call & after 4 - 5 minutes it gives me a headache. I have never had this problem with a mobile before. I cannot use the phone unless I use the speaker phone.

Sorry Nokia, I loved the phone but this issue is a cause for concern, I am getting rid of it this week.
