    to OJ
that means nokia is suffering QC on their products coming from different destinations other than europe. it even means that they are even using substandard materials. i thought nokia, no matter from where it comes its still a nokia. but now you have really educated me on this issue.
guys watch out when you are buying your next nokia model. look for the country of origin first before you even think of buying it. OJ your information is very valuable one.

My low battery is still going at 11:15 a.m. and I received 'One Missed Call'...reminds me of that horror movie I watched the other day.

If I didn't use any of the multimedia features I would have probably gotten 7 days out of it.

No need for me to complain about my battery.

        To MOBZZY:

All European phones are of highest quality. Most (if not all) of my Nokias came from Hungary and I never once had any problems to complain about so I highlight Hungary most of the times.

There is a vast difference in picture quality when you compare European versions to Chinese or other versions.

Hey Jamaican! 6 days battery life is not a headline for me anymore. Well, i just want you to know that i also have reached the 6 days battery life with my 6300 three times already. I'm just afraid to tell and share it because i know that people here will ignore it for all they know and believe is that the 6300's battery life is just poor and disappointing. That might turn out to be true but they should also bear in mind that using the "multimedia" capabilities of the 6300 would drain battery for sure. Of course, i guess almost every phone when you use its FULL (i mean all) multimedia functions would drain out a lot of battery for sure. I don't care if everyone will argue but i rather dare to say that the 6300 battery (based on my experience) is just average to excellent considering that it supports up to 16.7 million colors and considering that you use it primarily as a "PHONE"(i mean primarily for calls and texts). In fact, i have seen even worse performance from a 16 million colored handset like the N95-1 for example. So using it primarily as a phone, i guess the 6300 is not that bad. No offense to others as i'm just stating my experience and for what i think about 6300.

i know all the european countries and have travelled to most of them. since you said phones coming only from hungary are the best ones.

All 6300 owners I want you to tell me the most time or days you ever got from the 6300 with just normal use...meaning making and receiving calls only.

                  Finland is a European country.

Finland, Hungary and Germany are 3 of the most talked about European countries when it comes to Nokia phones.

i think the world record should also be entered in guiness book of records for 6300's outstanding battery performance. LOL

                      The WORLD RECORD CONTINUES.

As I said previously I charged my 6300 from Monday morning before 7:00 a.m. and up to Friday early afternoon it still wasn't low.

Today is now the 6th day and my battery is still going even though it is now low, it got low a little over 12 hours ago. It got low yesterday (Friday) at 5:20 p.m. and as of this writing it's Saturday morning 5:54 a.m.

This is very reminiscent of my previous phone 6230 with it's BL-5C battery.

Normally I would fool around with themes, play music, play videos and spend a long time on calls so my battery would last me 2 days on average. This week I decided not to do too much of what I normally do to see how long it would really last.

During this battery lasting marathon I made shorts calls about 3 days in total, received a call every day (most times I would recieve more than one call in a day, I played a MP3 track twice, watched a full music video, received 2 MMS messages, took about 3 photos and that's about it as I can remember.

I have gotten more than a full business week worth of battery life and I used the phone everyday.

                        To CATHY:

Maybe your phone is set to use the internal memory to store the photos and maybe the internal memory is full. Go to camera settings and select memory card as the primary storage.

If it still stays in standby then maybe there's some corruption in the OS somewhere. In that case do a firmware upgrade by using Nokia PC Suite.

The battery life is way below par to compensate its not to bad for a old mid range phone but there are improved versions out there now

quite poor camera optics, expected more from Nokia with 2 mpx .(my other phone which is Sony-Ericsson also with 2 mpx, takes clearer pictures and better colors)

And when talking, it feels too hot inside the ear !!!

Other things are OK and also durable metallic surfaces will not peel off
