I bought 6555 yesterday, believe me the clarity of the phone is first rate. while talking the conversation for both parties sounds as if we are on fixed land line phone. even to hold to converse it's a real pleasure. i never had this feeling from any of my previous phones. i am sure you are going to try one. i think i am gonna keep this phone for long time. once again thanks a lot for your advise buddy.

i updated my nokia 6300 v.5.50 to v. 6.01 but my cell phone shut down and there is a problem in turning on my phone....wat should i do????.....please help me.....

I did not plug out the cable before the phone told me the update was finished..The NSU does not freeze during the update..The phone does not run out of battery power before the update was finished...My profile set to General....I was updating my phone, i thought that it is working...then suddenly the phone shut down and i can't turn on....before i'm planning to update my phone, the battery is fully charged....wat should i do???

Guys, think i'll just be honest with you all that Sri Lankan budz is right. It is actually me who posted as those as mentioned by Sri Lankan budz. just noticed it today. the 5310 should have better battery management since it has a light sensor (right beside the speaker) which detects ambient light and adjusts the brightness of the backlights accordingly. i wish nokia has incorporated the same thing on the 6300. oh well...

Before you guys come to a conclusion i would like to say a few words.
1. How many of you are using a genuine copy of windows? hope not many. so there is a chance of more than 60% of 2 or more people have the same computer name. because the computer name depends on the operating system.
2. mobile browsers, some use smart phones such as the N95 to browse the web and again there is a possibility of having similar ids. you may have noticed the people who use opera browser on their phones have the same id. for example "Sri Lankan Budz" and "Ange uk" has the same id. so is there anyone who can say that it is or it isn't the same person??? and look at the grammar. they both looks exactly the same.
3. And there is a huge possibility to have 2 or more people who types the same way even though they don't speak the same way. or else there are dimwits who copy the style of another person if they feel like its better than theirs. any one can argue with that?
so my point is the person who's trying out this detective stuff have to be more careful when coming to a certain conclusion. because he accused original_jamaican being in another forum which is completely wrong! and now another person. you cannot prove yourself as a detective if you keep acting like a 6 year old. thats not impressive. besides you're leading the people here to a topic which is completely different from mobile phones.
so if you think you can argue with me with VALID reasons I'll be more than happy to participate.
so the bottom line is that there is a possibility of having the same computer name with more than 2 or more people. if you browse the other forums a lot of you will be able to find the same computer name as you have.
this is not fbi stuff. its just common sense and intelligence. and some people don't have those 2 qualities in the proper way.

im using this phone for almost 1yr. it's a great phone and it has cool features like the surround music using it's own cute speaker then the pixel of this phone is clear and good. nokia 6300 is best for me bcoz it's sexy and slim, actually it's so handy. the sad thing there it's stolen from me i was so hurt that fucking incident. now im hoping my mom to buy me a sonny Ericsson's W610. for me the lifespan of the phone will just depend to
us if how were going to use it and take care of it... i dont care for the prize but i care for my happiness and my convenience..

Did you plug out the cable before the phone told you the update was finished ? Did NSU freeze during the update ? Did the phone run out of battery power before the update was finished ? Was your Profile set to General ? Tell me exactly what happened.

All greetings from Moscow. Only yesterday has bought 6300 and has remained it is happy with the purchase, very convenient and stylish phone before at me has grown old and has broken 6230i:-)

6300 is wayy Better then 5310
in my opinion 6300 is Sexier!

just an update about my comparison on 6300 and 5310:
i realized that when pics taken from both phones are uploaded on a computer, the quality of the pics look pretty much the same. so i guess it's the LCD of the 5310 that is inferior to 6300, not the camera, which made the pictures "look" more blurry on the 5310 as compared to the 6300.
another thing i noticed, the 5310's video player does not have a rewind / fast forward function.
but the 5310 is still sexy as hell!!! lol!

I aint been here for a while i see someone using my name then bein deano an then original egyptian??has the world gone mad dear oh dear..anyway 6300 is a nice classic handset an easy to use!. Jamaican glad 2 c ur stil here tryin 2 help keep up the gud work real ange uk

thanks a lot for your opinion. i like it because when its open it long enough so that the mic comes near the mouth and voice clarity is very good for the listner on the other end. its quality is almost like a land line phone. to hold is very comfortable and key pad is large. remember 6310 used to produce the same clarity. thanks once again. probaly i will buy it tomorrow.
