          To all contemplating buyers:

Go ahead and get this phone. It's always best to check things out for yourself instead of listening to others. There's NO EXPERIENCE like your very own.

            To KHAJ:

If my phone was a prototype model it would have had it on the label just like every other prototype phone.

My phone is an official release. European made. Furthermore, if it was a prototype, it wouldn't have come with firmware revision 5.0.

If you read the camera review of the K550 you would have seen where the Editorial Reviewer said that the K550 doesn't deserve the Cybershot branding as it doesn't take high quality photos as the K750/W800...and these models weren't branded as Cybershot models...so in my opinion the K550 phone doesn't deserve much praising.

The only reason why it got the 'A Cyber-shot on a budget' title is because the phone is branded as a Cybershot, whether it lives up to the expectations or not.

The internet/gprs connection is fine. The only difference is that you can't enter it manually unlike earlier s40v2 phones. You have to get the settings sent from your operator.

I like the way you responded in a civilised manner.

Regardless, you either didn't read all my posts or you don't comprehend very well.

Once I made a straight call and it lasted for 3:39 mins.

Another time I made a call and stayed on it for 2 hours exactly and then shortly after I received a call and stayed on it for another exact 2 hours...that's 4 hours on a single charge!!!!!!

Telephony is the most important thing for me because first and foremost it's a phone. All the bells and whistles are secondary. The phone lives up to the primary expectations just like any other Nokia. It has always been said that Nokia batteries last long and this phone is no exceptation.

Regardless of others saying that their battery doesn't last long, well that is their experience, I have NO reason to complain as my battery lasts long.

I have been following every posts since page 1 and I have seen many people praise the battery as long lasting.

My experience with the battery is a good one and I state it as is.

for me simplicity is the best... sabi nga ni bo sanchez, simplify... hehehe.. so if u want to simplify ur life when it comes to cellphone, then buy nokia 1200, its worth it... it has no non-sense features... pls all go back to basic... besyd all we need for cp is to sent and receive msges; to call and be called... if u want a camera, then buy a camera instead of phone w/ camera.. if u want cp w/ mp3 player, they y not buy an mp3 player... ok... no more arguments...:)

                            @ Original_Jamaican:
Really expected that you will be the first one to argue! Well well well.. First of all, the K550 being dubbed as "The Cybershot in a Budget" means that it is the cheapest cybershot and guess it's price is almost equal with 6300. And know what, bare in mind that those "16 M color" that you have already LONG been boasting here is not at all useful for people especially knowing the fact that the 6300 have EXTREMELY POOR battery life, there's no way that a person that is considering to buy a phone as for his/her telephony needs will be satisfied! And maybe you got a prototype 6300 that got great battery life. Really strange as about 98% of the people here are pissed off about battery. And no need to keep repeating that "WAZOMBA" fellow. And oh, where's that Wazomba by the way? More than likely, he/she have already sold his/her 6300 and maybe because of extreme dissatisfaction. And another is, you kept on posting misleading posts here like for example about your so called "knowledge" about battery. Well probably you're too outdated in terms of technology, i suppose. Because Li-Ion and to be complete, Li-polymer never required priming. It's for Nickel Metal Hydride type or Ni-mh batteries.. And know what, i have read your post when you said that you bought 6300 for telephony and argued with a man that bought 6233 for multimedia. And now, you are boasting about the display? Wow! Is that an essential aspect of telephony? If you only want telephony, then get a yourself a 1200 instead! Maybe in that way, i am more convinced that you are more concerned about telephony!

i dont like the Way Nokia Makes Phones and then just makes a *i* mprovement version of it , for e.g. this 6300 came out a few months ago last year, and look theyv made 2 Versions since its release!

now the ownners of 6300 if they tried to sell it they would Looose Money! all the Money would be gone becuase of Depreciation!

another reason to Buy SE phones, there really Unique. they dont really need improving becuase there all Made to be Superb!

To the chap who thinks he is IT,

I read your genuinely useless phone comparison. Why would you compare an old phone with a new one? It would've been a lot interesting if you compared 2 new phones.
Secondly, even though the K550 is made to a budget its a lot more reliable than the 6300. The 6300 is just a fashion accessory. Apart from the display the K550 is a better phone.

                                THE END.

                                      To KHAJ:

                                      Type TFD, 256K colors
                                      Size 176 x 220 pixels, 1.9 inches

Those are the the screen specs. for your beloved Sony Ericsson K550. Not to mention it's a fatter phone at 14mm.

The 6300 has a 2 inch TFT 16.7 million colour screen with a 240x320 resolution. The SE K550 screen is CRAP compared to 6300 screen.

The only think K550 have over 6300 is internal memory. GSMArena considers the K550 to be a budget phone while they consider the 6300 to be a high-end phone. Read the reviews.

Stay in your SE forum and DON'T come back to NOKIA's forum.

You turned out to be the fool.
