I am not geek (if you say that ironic or not). I'm just a dissapointed 6300 owner. It's good if it costs 80 pounds in the UK. I would buy it.
Kisses from my sunny country.

You are still saying things that I cannot accept. I think, finally, that's a lie!
My W610 with bluetooth, 4 hours of music and 1.5 hours of speaking and 55 messages lasted 3.5 days!
You can call me a lier, you can say that I an a SE supporter, I don't care.

          To Popocatepetl:

Using a bluetooth headset means having bluetooth on all the time. Bluetooth decreases battery life on ANY phone.

I was able to get very close to phone day and I used the phone very hard on day one talking on the phone throughout the day amounting to about 1 hour or nearly 1 hour worth of talking, sending over 20 sms, taking pictures and so on. The other 2 days I used it moderately and I still sent text messages and the battery died close to midnight on day 3.

          No complaints with my battery.

            for one more time...

You need an attractive phone with good constuction, excellent screen and good voice? Buy the 6300, you will like it a lot! But if you're NOT not so carefull with the cellphone (It's falling from your hands, you are not so patient with this?). Or if you need a good all around camera? And first of all you need a good battery life? DON'T CHOOSE 6300! Try something else. From any company. Nokia is a major company but NOT the best. Everything depends on what you truly need...

              4 DAYS BATTERY LIFE? HAHAHAHAHAH!
I don't understand who managed to do this but nobody EVER will be able to have this battery life with the 6300.
I connected my bluetooth handsfree yesterday morning, I talked 55 minutes and sent 10 SMS's and now my phone needs charging after 35 hours. And my phone was closed 8 hours last night.
Sure.... 6300 has the BEST battery. Only when it sleeps!

i'm glad the fight between Danny and OJ stopped :)

about battery live of 6300: is it reasonably that we can get 3 complete days? ie, with only calls (1 hour per day) and some sms messages and don't using camera, bluetooth or web?

i just ask: ist it reasonably/possible?

Good phone in all but two aspects.
                    1) Gets scratched VERY easily. So you have to be very careful with it.
                    2) The battery is AWFUL. I would call myself a moderate user, and I have to charge it at least once a day.

I think it's actually a great phone. Yes, it's true that the ring tone volume is quite low, and yes, talk time isn't great either. However this phone makes up for it in every other way! It feels great in your hands, battery time is about 4 days (I think they put in a new type of battery), the camera is good enough(who needs a 5 MP camera in their phone when they already have an 8 MP camera at home?!), and it's very customizable! In short: Great phone!

                          To VIEWD:

I support your view somewhat in regards to the 6230 series. The 6300 have a lot of firepower to overthrow the 6230. Far better screen (better than every other new phones too), excellent camera with many times zoom, unlimited and better video recording, slimmer, lighter, more features with the s40v3 OS compared to the s40v2 OS of the 6230.

So many things to make it seemingly overthrow the king for many years, 6230. But somehow, just somehow I found the fun factor to be a little greater with the 6230. I don't know, maybe because I did everything possible with the 6230 and did it on a regular basis, that basically any phone I upgraded to, the fun wouldn't be so high again seeing that I did it all with the 6230.

But maybe, just maybe the 6300 is the present king of the hill based on the evolution and great implementation of features.

Somebody on this forum said that the 6300 is the best thing since slice bread. That's exactly how I felt when I first got the 6300. In the first few weeks of using my 6300, I felt like it had blown away the great 6230...which was the biggest revolution in the mobile phone industry.

News sources say that the 6300 was the best selling phone in 2007 and it may just continue throughout 2008.

Anybody contemplating on whether or not they should buy a 6300, go for it, go for gold!!!

There is ONLY one thing I can conclude, there are several batches of 6300s with factory defects because I don't experience what 3/4 of you complain about.

First of all I got 3hr. 39mins. of talk time on a straight call...and I spent a few minutes doing some stuff on the phone before I received that call so I'm convinced I can get more than that time.

On a second occassion, I made a call and spent exactly 2 hours, then 5 minutes after I received another call and spent another 2 hours...that's (4) FOUR (4) HOURS worth of talking on the SAME CHARGE!!!

On Nokia's official discussion forum there was another issue, the memory card disappearing 3-5 mins. and reappearing occassionally. That was said to be because of a transistor which was mistakenly left out.

Fortunately for me I have had no issues pertaining to the battery or memory card. My phone is flawless. Sorry to hear about you people who got some of the bad apples.
