Hi
I dont know why you are dong this blc5 conversion. Its not clever when the battery is only 9 dollars ( shipping Included for USA/CAnada) at emtccompany.com. Buy 2 extra batteries and feel safe that you have spare batteries charged and ready to go. Plus theyu wont leak due to sanding or explode.

To XEESHAN:
I replied to your questions yesterday BUT GSMArena said they would review it before posting it. It's a very lengthy reply and they tend to want to review the essay type messages.
If I don't see it posted over the weekend then I will resend it in pieces. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to do that until Tuesday when I return to work because I saved it on my office PC and Monday is a public holiday.

To XEESHAN:
I read your earlier post but just didn't get around to responding to it at the time and totally forgot about it.
What puzzles me is why would you want to encode in 3gp when the 6300 supports MP4 and H.264. To add to it all, the 6300 even supports 3GP2. So why go with the ancient and plain 3GP which only supports AMR and no stereo in most cases ?
Nevertheless, I will answer your questions. I will answer in the order you asked.
VIDEO RESOLUTION
1. The 6300 only accepts video with a resolution of 176x144.
VIDEO BIT RATE (I will use general profile rates found in most programs)
2. The video bit rate can be as low as you want to virtually as high as you want albeit slower performance at higher rates. BE WARNED though that too high a bit rate WILL result in slow video performance.
As a general bit rate, I find that 128kbps is perfect in that you get decent quality and very speedy video playback, for the most part.
I find that 160kbps is just as good as 128kbps in terms of speed and160kbps certainly gives you smoother video compared to 128kbps.
You can up the ante by trying 196kbps or even 216kbps at a decent enough playback speed, for the most part.
The 6300 WILL accept 384kbps and 512kbps. However, ONCE you go OVER 216kbps, be prepared for slower playback as the frame rate cannot keep up. Furthermore, too high a video DRAINS the battery more quickly as the video processor have to do more work in order to display the higher quality
It's NOT to wise to use a particular bit rate for every video you encode. For example, whereas 196kbps will work fine for a music video, it may NOT work well for a movie as movies are larger, hence more stress on the phone, so the playback may be a bit jerky. I normally use 128kbps for movies. I see no problems with that bit rate for anything at all I encode.
FRAME RATE
15fps is indeed the correct rate to use. Anything over that and the video gets jerky.
ASPECT RATIO
Any ratio you choose should be fine. I normally disable the ratio and keep my videos full screen.
AUDIO BIT RATE
The 6300 supports amr_nb, amr_wb and AAC where video playback is concerned. I always use the AAC codec so I can get stereo output.
I've NOT done a thorough test to see exactly up to what bit rate it supports to BUT I encoded a video with an audio output of 128kbps and a sample rate of 48000Hz and it sounded just like the audio from the Music Player...SHARP, CLEAR and filled with STEREO (Original Audio CD music are encoded at 44100Hz). I don't see myself using anything over 128kbps. Furthermore, if the audio bit rate along with the video bit rate is too high then you will have a huge file size.
You can probably start from 48kbps and see if you like the sound output. At 48kbps the sound output should be fine once you use the AAC audio codec.
Generally, 64kbps is good for audio especially when used with the AAC codec.
Finally, the 6300 supports 2 channels and based on certain settings, sometimes mono sounds better than stereo when used with certain user-defined settings.
I hope I have shed some light on the matter.
I mainly use Allok 3GP Converter. It's very good and it supports H.264 the MPEG High Definition codec. The ONLY thing I don't like about it is that you can't input the exact video and audio bit rate. Other than that it's perfect. Videos encoded with Allok runs faster on the phone compared to some video converters.
You can check it out here: http://www.alloksoft.com/3gpconverter.htm
I also like Any Video Converter, just google
it.
Any Video Converter allows you to customize every part of the program allowing you to achieve video and audio exactly the way you want it. The ONLY disadvantage is that it doesn't support H.264.
As you can see, you win some and lose some.
Please tell me ALL the video converters that you know.

it seems nobody read my earlier post/opinion!!
anyhow now read this and help me out!
i am in grave need to convert the music videos (*.mp4,*.avi(non-divx)) to *.3gp
read the previous post of mine... u will definitely understand the problem...
(1.) what resolution of the video should i keep?
- 320x240 (since this is the display resolution of the phone as well)
or
- 176x144 or 176x220
(2.) What should be the video bit rate?
(3.) i guess, 15fps would be the correct video frame rate.
(4.) what aspect ratio should i set like 4:3 or 11:9?
(5.) As for audio bitrate;
if i use xilsoft video convertor it displays a range of (32-320 kbps)
using super video convertor it displays a range of (8-13kbps)
using total video convertor, i can select whatever i want
What audio bitrate should i select?? and should i select single channel (i.e. Mono sound)?
What audio codec should i select?amr_nb or amr_wb?
