it's a pretty phone i had it for a week now, sound quality is fine, camera and video is fine too, menu operation is simple (series 40), i just don't like the battery life (i wonder if it really works charging it drained for 12 hours???), what's a phone for if the battery don't lasts when needed... (,")?
^this was my first comment, yes i drained my battery and charged it for 12hours, it didn't work for me, the battery life is still the same, this phone is fine but the battery is useless, it's a shame i wasted my money on this instead of a better brand, i hope nokia reads all these comments.

This is my honest opinion about this phone:
Battery life: 2 days (with normal usage which is 1 hour a day + 5-10 text messages)
It does get warm, but it doesn't burn.
You can set mp3 as a ringtone.
It is not as loud as 6230 but it's quite all right.
Voice volume is kinda low (again compare to 6230) but Voice Clarity function helped a little bit.

This phone is quite good enough, but the battery never the less give me disapointed. Crystalize look and elegant. But poor view with 2 MP camera's. Competitive pricing, slim body (I like it very much), and handy intuitive button

I own ten phones. This has become one of my favourites! No creaking anywhere (not like my N73 - the plastic case creaks and makes the phone sound cheap!). The 6300 is so nice to touch. It has great features. it is really attractive and webcruiruising is a brez! This will be a top seller! I can recommend this phone without hesitgtiom!

Anthony Burger had the best opinion!
On a different note - the handset does have some problems! Definitely over heats! The battery simply isn't powerful enough to power the device! On board memory is poor, I will have to buy a 1-2gb sd micro memory card to accommodate this! Camera is shoddy, there a few options to enhance/change the photo/video setup. However the screen res is good, the fact you have to remove the back cover to get to the memory card and usb port is a good idea! It protects them - pure and simple. The handset is light and slim and very easy to use. It isn't a bad handset but it is far from perfect! I am keeping it due to the tariff I am on!

HEY! i'm 15 years old but im old enough to avaliate this phone. have it since last week and i love it. samll and sharp, very functional. i dont understand toyguys, always complaining: 'the battery lasts a day'; when i recieve it i used till the battery end and then charged it for 12 hours, now every time i charge it it gave me plus 12h of battery time at least for more ten days :P
i usually play games, send LOTS OF SMS'S, play music and radio and the phone battery is ok during 3 days, i hope that the battery life grow till a week :D
th menu is simple, the screen is AWESOME, seriously, i love it .

Yes, despite all the cool features it provides, the BATTERY is really really disappointing, especially when you are very keen on playing around with such features as Media player, radio, video, any many more... It quickly gets HOT when you're on the line talking for some 5 minutes or so. But yeah... it's HOT! :-)

This phone is excelent but the battery life is very poor. I should charge ir every day. Is only weak in this equipment. Is very beautiful.

Unbelievably worse speaker, you can feel the heat after using it for a few minutes or should I say its a very hot phone:)

To anyone who happened to read my comments of 2007-06-20 08:13, please read this.
Regarding the audio output quality, it's not at all bad. It's superb, instead. Trust me. For two weeks or so after I purchased the handset, I'd been thinking it was that bad cuz I didn't even try fiddling with the volume side buttons. Then one day I happened to make a call and found out that, despite the unavailability of such features on the screen to increase/decrease the volume, the volume side buttons could do exactly what I wanted. The next thing I knew is any features that deal with the sound can also increase or decrease the volume with these very buttons. The Music Player and the radio (and all else) can now produce quite a loud sound. Sorry Nokia... :-)

Who says it doesnt allow mp3 to be set as ringtone? hmmm the person is saying nonsense..lol.. mp3 can be set as ringtone.. confirmed..

This phone battery realy suks, camera is good speaker is very low, over al i give 50% compared to older version is has less qualities, hopeu guys no wat is older model 6230, a real nice... and good in al features... good luck

This phone does not support Mp3 as a ringtone however it plays Mp3 tones and songs ... is there any software which i can use to convert it to play as ringtones ... thanks ... phone is amazing .. battery is OK
