this is a very nice phone... the speaker is so loud and crisp...the ringing tone and music plays so loud...VERY VERY CRISP believe me! feels very classy and expensive when u hold it..trust me a good buy

QCIF is 220x176 (0.03872 Megapixel)
QVGA is 320x240 (0.0768 Megapixel)
VGA is 640x480 (0.3072 Megapizel)
so VGA recording produces almost 8 times the quality as QCIF..

it looks real chic but the truth is its battery is up to no good. so id prefer think twice before buying it.

Superbe phone. Small and very sexy. This is not an average phone. When you hold it, it feels very expensive and classy. Great menu (UI) and a lot of ways to individualise the menu. No problems with overheating or battery life when you use it like you normally use a phone. Its not a phone for kids though. The design and the fragile big screen are safe with an adult but they are easely scratched or even broken by someone uncareful. Best phone I ever had and a superbe way to wait for the second generation iPhone!!

To all Nokia 6300 users,
Are you able to play MPEG-4 (MP4) movies since I saw this phone specification that this model able to support. No problem to play 3GP movies. Feel like being cheated as my old phone Nokia 6288 has no problem with this issue. :-(

The 6300 is the biggest failure,battery does not lasts even an hour on just calls,no other function,the set has feeble incoming sound,loudspeaker operates on 0 decible,Nokia India has been unable to repair it now for 3 months

this phone is not good phone!
Coz...
* phone Heats-up & phone Heats up While talking and same as listening to the Radio.
* Battery Drains Verryyyy Fast.
* Speaker (Ear Piece) is Overheating.
* Phone Get Stuck( when we opend games Menu)

This phone uses bl-4c(860 mAH). It can last for at most 2 days in the case that you do not use it as a music player :p. For me, I use it for playing music quite a lot (3-4 hrs + talking around 1 hr), so it needs to be charged everynight.
If you are lazy type of person who don't like charge the phone every night or 2 then you should forget about this model.
Another thing i've tried is using BL-5C(970 mAH),with very little modification so you will gain 25-30% of bettery life compare to BL-4C.

Yes you can. I've got a code on my 6300 that wont allow anyone to access the handset. Its better than a pincode too coz i can type the code incorrectly more than 3times without blocking myself. (I've done this, lol)
