Someone mentioned that people won't buy it in the U.S...
that's likely because Nokia promised a Q1 release, but doesn't even have it on their American website. Why?
People in the U.S. won't buy it because it isn't available.

Hi nice phone but I cant change the idle state font colour in display settings. I wanted to change the main display screen font to white because of dark wallpaper but I cant. On previous phones it was the idle state font but it looks like it only works for the date display on this phone. Could anyone check this out. Ta

I doubt it would sell well here in USA. Motorola dominates the market here. And also, the 6300 I got is quad band - it says it on the box (EGSM850, EGSM900, and GSM1800/1900) BUT the phone is advertised on all websites I have seen as tri-band phone (900/1800/1900) so most people wouldn't buy it for that reason. I had a US version 8801 before the 6300 and the 6300 gets better reception then the 8801 for sure (Southern California) so for those of you who are wandering if this phone works well in USA, it does - I haven't had one problem or dropped call with it, works really well. Cheers to a kick ass phone - the best NOKIA yet!

you know why nokia didnt click in U.S.? because people there has brains so they wont go for nokia,,.. they will just fool you with the looks and the name and the quality "disposable" compare to other phones.. and 1 more thing, people are saying that nokia is a friendly user (easy to use) but all the phones now is easy to use, the thing is they dont have time or they dont have brains to learn how to use other phones..! m i ryt? peace out yall!

I swapped the original battery with a BL-5C. Very easy to do. Just find something like a small file and just sand about a qarter of an inch strip(3-4mm on the top where the pin connectors are (both sides). It just takes a few strokes (about a 1mm on both sides) to make it fit and thats it, done. Haven't used it yet, just did that so I can't tell how long the battery will last but it works fine so far. If my phone blows up, I'll let you know :-) Cheers

To the guy asking "which is better the 6300 or N91"?

What do you think....are you just trying to let everyone know you have an N91?
Yay...lets all give it up for the guy who has an 'awesome' N91...

                          Now go away...

I chose 6300 as upgrade because of its looks and didnt mind too much bout camera or mp3 player. Read reveiws before and true that battery life is terrible.Cant understand why Nokia can offer such a poor battery. Had phone for 3 weeks and fone is to be replaced as software fault has occurred saying I cant transfer music as memory full.I dont have any music in it.Plenty space available.O2 swapping fone for me in 2 days.Hope new 1 is ok.

Design is attractive but there should be beck side view of the phone in the picture manue.

                                to aby,

you can activate the LED lights in the profile menu, not in the tone settings. im not sure how many seconds before the light turns on again afterthe initial light.

Wouldn't it be great if Nokia actually released the 850 version? I love Nokia, but it's no wonder they don't sell well in the U.S. ...Gotta offer the phones if you want people to buy them.

Yeah, as someone just said, it can be connected to the car by bluetooth and by cable. Battery life is not that much of a concern, however bluetooth does suck the battery a fair bit. If you use your phone heaps in the car, I'd reccommend a spare battery or a car charger! But for on the go, the battery life is fine, for my usage anyway! The person with the N91, if you want a phone that doesn't take 3 seconds to load after you press a button, this is it! If you are happy with waiting for your menus, then I would stay with the phone you have for now. Regarding price, best option is to get this phone on some kind of plan ($20 plan in Aus).
