Had this phone since it's launch it's still going strong on original battery, OK for calls and texting as a back up. I bought it direct from Nokia if only that was still possible, oh happy days.

A simple, reliable, durable mobile phone. Great for making calls, and text messaging. Battery life should be better, but compared to smartphones, it's not bad. It only contains a 2,5mm jack socket, so you have to use a 2,5mm (male) to 3,5mm jack (female) adapter for connecting earphones. Equalizer doesn't work with the radio, it's music player only.
There are still new genuine batteries with black colour made for the Nokia 108 since autumn 2013, but they're fully compatible with the Nokia 6300. Do not order BL-4C battery directly from China, there is 95% chance it will be a counterfeit.

I'm using it for 9yrs now, I can no longer use the calculator since last quarter of last year. But, I wish it lasts for life or ages!!! Love the slim phone and features!

+ Good 3GPP video recording and playback capability - make sure you use a fast microSD card or you'll get dropped audio/video frames!
+ Nokia Store was good while it lasted
- Average durability - after a year or two of daily use, the glue holding the metal frame around the LCD and keypad loses grip under heat, usually from the Sun, causing the metal frame to fall off
- 2.5mm phono connector leaves you stuck using Nokia stereo headsets
- Lousy colour quality and lots of picture noise with JPEG photography

nokia 6300 is a cool phone it is very sleek n gud loking barphone, i lyk the voice comand feature in dis phone,its camera quality also is nt so bad...whatsapp can be used in dis phone because it has s40 platform but due to insuficent memory it can't be supported..i've been uzin dis phone since 2007 december..but still its performance is as gud as it was when i bought it... And now im uzin an android phone so i thnk i will give it 2 my small bro because he lyk playing java games..
