... morei work for cpw and have found this phone is better than nokia 6300 i am not saying that nokia 6300 is rubbish because 6300 have is old so not as advanced as 6303 .. got better camra and the finishing of the phone in silver colour makes it stand out in the croud.... bettery is also cool last for 3 days and this have a-gps which is bonous because normally you have to pay for maps but this handset comes with pre installed maps of europe....
so go for it.. no if's and no but's....

thanks for pointing me out. wrote it in hurry n didnt even read again. neway its S40 (Series40). One more mistake i did is I wrote Symbian 60..it shud be Series60(Symbian 6.0 to latest Symbian 9.5).

Can any owner of Nokia 6303 answer two of my questions!
1)How is the keypad of this phone? Is it hard to press or is it soft like Nokia 6300's keypad? Does it produce sound while texting?
2)Does 6303 have smileys? Are they similar to Nokia 6300 or they are similar to the ones in Nokia 3110 classic?

If you are reading this, I suggest that it’s time for you to get rid of your outdated 6300 and go for this beautiful 6303. I am sure you'll be more than happy with this one and helps you to study the performance and pass all your positive comments/recommendations to the users.

Correct yourself. Nokia 6303 is S40 6th Edition phone. It is NOT a SYMBIAN phone.

1) as far as i know there is no such option. btw u wont need to do that as phone memory is more than enuf to store 20000+ sms.(if u dont have other apps on phone memory)
2)u can delete all those preloaded apps safely(which r not part of rom). use 'Apps.' & 'Gallary' menu to remove unwanted files.
3)again i didnt find such option. bluetooth files will go in phone memory by default and when file is bigger than empty space, it'll be automatically transferred to memory card. so u dont need to worry about that.
4)u can safely delete all 'preloaded junk' from memory card. dont think much about it. these r mostly preloaded maps with different language support. n few more apps as per regions.
5)this is not a smartphone like nokia symbian60 series. this is a symbian40. so u need to find java (jar) files. u can find few on 'getjar.com'. but dont expect any extraordinary apps/games for this platform.

i bought this phone after many reviews etc and i have quite a few questions
1)how can i have enhanced message memory...i mean it saves in the phone memory not in the memory card.any way of altering it???
2)phone memory is 20 mb in mine and with all the preloaded stuff its barely 10mb free.how can i delete that stuff
3)all the bluetooth transfered files goto received files folder.can i alter it so that bluetooth shared files go directly to my memory card?
4)mine came with a 1gb memory card and there was a software named cities in it...there were cache files and some folders saying urdu farsi etc.what are those files for???
5)can anybody tell me a website for good and reasonable softwares for this phone?

i doubt that it has same problem as c510. c510 is juz bad in low light as its tiny aperture size makes it very hard to absorb light in bad lighting conditions.
btw i've already told u how to auto-focus. so hopefully these all tips will help u.

You can delete those folders safely. They are nothing but preloaded maps and few apps. If you want it back, you can download from nokia site later.

I still don't believe that its cam is better than ur old 1.3mp. Either your mobile is faulty OR u r still not able to use camera perfectly. As 1 guy said, it does have some shutter lag. so u've to w8 after ur successful auto-focus click. make sure ur hands r not shaky. also if u r using any plastic cover or any type of cover on camera glass, then remove it n make sure that the lens is clean. also if u r trying 2 get better snaps indoor, u r wrong. its camera & flash is not sufficient 2 take better indoor pictures. results will be grainy.
also try
1) resize pics at 1600x1200 resolution with the help of 'fast stone image viewer' or similar software. u can find it here: http://filehippo.com/download_faststone_image_viewer/
2) download Adobe 'Photoshop Album Starter Edition' & use 'Auto fix' function. u can find it here: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopalbum/starter.html

i bought the phone 2 days back and got 1 GB memory card with it when i put the memory card in phone 286 mb of memory was used when i browse the memory card there where 2 folders cities and extra are these folders improtant should i keep them or i can delete them or format the memory card ?

Regarding the camera seriously all you gotta do is hold it still till the shot is finished being taken simple. You will find in some Nokia budget phones the camera does have some shutter lag so hold still till symbol on screen shows the image has finished processing. Happy snapping.

CRISTIAN ro, 11 Jun 2009common ?! ... how can you get a better photo with 1.3 mp ov... moremaby my phone has a camera problem... but actually I can get better picture from 3110 than from 6303. My phone also makes a background noise when the screen is light up.go here and see some 3110 samples:

I saw pictures from 6303 and they are really OK displayed on a computer ... wtih 3110 there's no chance of that - quality of 1.3 is low ... also battery I heard 5-6 days with 20-30 minute talk/day & a little radio ...
