135 euros? that's about 8,300 philippine pesos...it'll probably be around 10,000 upon first release.

A stand-by battery life of 450 hours (roughly 18.75 days) is impressive for a mid-range phone not to mention that it can dish out a talk time of up to 7 hours. It would probably last 3-4 days with regular use. Display is great at 16M colors, 240x320, 2.2. Video and camera may disappoint but this is a budget-friendly phone so you can't really ask that much. I'm buying this once it hits the shelves. I'm always fond of long-lasting phones with superb screen.

Why will it omit the US 850 frequency? Nokia will not increase market share in the US if they release phones that don't support one of the 2 main frequencies here. Or will there be a difference North American verion of the phone (850/1800/1900)?

For those who didnt quite fancy the odd-shaped plastic "5220 Express music", this more mainstream nice looking phone comes with much of the same features (3.5mm audio, Nokia maps, strong battery) but with the feel of stainless steel instead, plus upgraded display and far better autofocus flash-enabled camera & VGA-video. The more useful 8x digital zoom also comes handy. This vill definitely be my next phone.

I've been waiting for a camera phone to replace my 3310, and I think this might be it - depends on price also. I've subscribed to the Nokia bi-monthly newsletter and hopefully I'll hear when it's about to be imported.
Also it must have a long or adjustable backlight. A Vodaphone 6234 I tried was terrible, it drove me nuts by switching off too quickly.

@ntu, 03 Feb 2009Another s40 set... Whn will Nokia stop producing ths????Well for ur information nokia makes more money out off selling S40 devices than selling S60. Also not everyone have the budget to buy S60 devices or the patience to use a slow S60 phone. Yes it may have some fancy feature but they can get really annoying at some times coz of their slow speed. I had used two S60 phones before and i was never satisfied with any of it.
Bt the way S40s aren't that bad...it may not have as many features but its definitely a lot faster and you won't be pulling ur hairs off your head.
