the 6100 was great, because it was the first colour slim phone from nokia, it wasn't popular because it didn't have a camera and was released the same time as the 6610 and 7250. then came the 6300, nokia kept the slim simple design, right now it's selling like hotcakes. When this 6500 comes out, I can only imagine it will take off .

Is this hitting the markets soon? We're almost to 3Q and my current phone's battery barely lasts a 1hr call.

Best Nokia design I ever seen so far. The rest of the new series are crap design. I think they stole the design from Alcatel. Bleeeaaahhhhh!

Good God. Nokia. With a good design finally? No! Has someone finally said something to those "zany" Finnish designers who clearly thought everyone still liked horrendously geeky 1980 brick phones ala N80, N95, etc etc?
And phones which are not only hideously obese AND ugly, but are about as pocket-friendly as a scalding boulder and about as "cool" as Timmy Mallet.
Finally. Not since the rather underrated - but exceptionally good - 6100 has Nokia produced a truly decent phone, which is both slim and sexy. Looks like the banefully long 5-year wait is up.
So it doesnt have wi-fi. Or a "decent" camera. Or expandable memory. Or S60. Or any other pointless piece of sh!t which for the most part is quoted purely by friendless uber-geeks in what is the digital equivalent of comparing d*ck sizes.
You can call people. You can text people. You can access the net via 3G. Its ridiculously pocket friendly. It scores very highly with the street cred. And it has one of the best screens on the market.
Its a mobile and it checks everything that a mobile should do. Who cares about features? Since when has a mobile ever excelled at pictures, video, games or anthing else for that fact? Erm... Never. So who cares?
It checks the fundamentals for a mobile phone. And looking at what it offers for its price, accompanied with its good looks and the fact Nokia produces the best phone software on the market, why would you want any other phone?
I can't wait to dump my Samsung D900 - it might be slim - but if even texting becomes clumsy, you soon begin to realise why "extra" features are bonafide bullsh!t and why the meat and bones of any mobile are the ONLY consideration...
