I think its actually a series 40 5th edition phone whereas everywhere its written as no os
all the s 40 previous version games and apps work on my phone and being a slider its really a good slim phone so i am happy.

you buy a brand new Nokia 6500
from Trusted Nokia Centre.
No compramise for Camera quality
it is perfect and awesome.

I've been using this phone for nearly a year now and this is my 2nd post here. Im fed up looking at all the comments that condemns the phone ecessively without hard proof. Here are some experience that i had and how i solved it:
1)The phone hangs/freezes --------> Update the bloody phone software! It solves it once and for all!
2)Ringtones keeps changing back to default
-----> Save the particular ringtone u wanna use as ringtone in ur phone memory instead of the memory card. The rest u can save it in the memory card.
3)To take care of the speakers ----> Do not set maximum volume. Set one bar below maximum. The sound quality is really, awesome no complains from me.
4)Camera and video is great too. It has autofocus. No problems there as well.
5) Has tv/out - u can play the hp games on ur tv.
Probably the best phone out there especially its design and function wise.
No regrets here! :)
Take good care of ur phone and have good knowledge bout ur phones too. Then sure u wont do or say stupid things about ur phone unnecessarily. :)

if you update the software on the phone it will fix the freezing problem and all the other problems!!!!

6500 slide is crap. Even my previous 6300 is way much better than this. It lags, freezes frequently and very, and I mean VERY, bad camera quality. Don't be fooled by the 3.2 mega pixels, it's worse than other 2 mega pixels phones. Sound quality is disappointing. Not even averagely acceptable. I bought a 1GB memory card specially to store more songs and ends up that speaker sound is too sharp to enjoy your music pleasantly. Video playback is terrible too; video images somehow seem to become blurry on this phone as compared to others. The bad points is far more than its good. I regret getting this phone and I just bought it yesterday only. Everything about this phone is screwed. In fact, I can't think of any good points other than maybe of its pretty design, but then again, it probably wouldn't last long enough to worth a second look after awhile.
