it may become damaged due to the rough use of slide so more important care on phone is essential.

to Anonymous: there are workarounds to get your memory card from being read like removing your back cover and pushing up the small metal (going up) smoothly using a needle (this works for me best). the small metal is placed next to the camera lid. after doing so, replace the back cover and you can now access the memory card. goodluck. in addition to the memory card issue, taking out my nokia 6500 slide from a pouch while ringing disconnects the incoming caller. my unit has 10.00 firmware and i doubt if nokia even support new updates of this faulty unit.

how do you get/ access the memory card and the songs in it...?? My phone says no memory card and i have inserted 1GB memory card brand new also tried wi another phone and its gud(mem card)

reading comments here and praising nokia 6500 slide as one of the best phone nokia made is definitely not true (for me anyway). my experience with this handset is terribly not tolerable. why is everybody praising this phone is beyond me. this handset looks nice. that’s all about it. the phone has memory card problem. removing the back cover also disconnect the memory card. you cannot access it. what is nokia thinking? hello nokia.. the phone was released in 2007. why on earth nokia design a phone that have concept like this. it's really pain accessing your ringing tone and stuff like wallpaper and screensaver that's in the memory card, and when you remove the back cover, all of it renders to default setting. the only reason i bought this phone in the first place was to replace my dying nokia 6288 which is very good in all aspect which gave me good impression and excellent experience for 3 years of usage. unlike 6500 slide, nokia 6288 never had an issue of such. twice i sent my 6288 to repair shop and for a month it worked but have to give it up since replacing the LCD for 2 times cost me about 120 in US dollar. i miss my nokia 6288. i stopped from using nokia 6500 slide. planning to buy samsung instead.

I HAVE USED SOO MANY MODELS OF NOKIA BUT 6500s is the best. i just can stop using it. i love u nokia 6500s.

i have used this phone it is excellent but after i got a ipohne as a gift from my sister and the previous set i gave it to my younger sister,,,but now i am not really happy with iphone. i will purchase a new nokia phone very soon. i love you use nokia 6500

I am not satisfied with my Nokia 6500s because it has difficulty connecting to the external memory, sometimes on and off intermittently.

My father had this phone for 2 years or so...When he first bought it I was amazed.At that time I had an Motorola EM ...whatever.Now my father bought an Iphone and he is really dissappointed with it.He wanted this phone back, but I had alraedy taken in.I trully love this phone!
