the problems of this phone which i notice is steaking frequently. am the one who using this phone it giving me a problems many times of steaking,so for me is not good phone because of that problem which i experienced.

iv had my 6500 for 1.5 years after 4-5 months all the apps stopped working it scratchers real easy locks up if i try to open it from the bit of rubber under the screen has the worst reception its always freezing battery lasts 2-3 days no problems with the memory card 2gig good Bluetooth. always on romeing...but still ok

I have never struggled so much with a cellphone as with this one. It freezes non-stop, looses it's date & time memory! Terrible phone!

Obviously the weakest part of this phone is the screen it has. The connection (UMTS 850 / 2100) was a bit dodgy from time to time with varying connectivity and latency issues. The phone itself lasted for about a year after which the phones' LCD cell cracked for no reason at all, some minor screen problems prior to the last nail to the coffin as well.
Apart from looking stylish this phone is a set off.

this is the worst fone i ve ever used, the picture weny off and keep hanging i am very dissapointed

i used this phone for less than a year.. it was so disappointing it just blacked out and that was the end of it.

i think this is the worst phone i ever bought... last may 2009 i bought this nokia 6500 slide and after a few days, i notice that my pnone keeps on hanging and the function keys are malfunctioning and sometimes the display is fading.i am very disappointed because i bought it as a brand new but it seems like it has been stuck for years and i was very unlucky to get this unit.. i've been to nokia service center for a couple of times... formatting and changing of the motherboard was done but the problem keeps on coming back. i already ask them if they can replace my unit but they have no policy regarding the replacement. i also ask them what if my warranty expires and still the same problem keeps going back?i already need to pay for the repair.. just imagine, from the very beginning, iam not satisfied with the service of the cellphone i bought and this is what i get when the warranty expires... pay for the repairs that they will do... and will be doing if the problem occurs again and again.. this is not fair for my part because the unit is too expensive...

Nokia 6500 is a great phone! It has wonderful autofocus camera - one of the best, embodied in mobile phone and also with a brilliant display quality. I have been using mine since one year and a half. I have no problems till now. I have dropped it several times and it occured to be quite solid one.
Nokia 6500 could operate with 8 GB memory card (I am using such right now, in the moment.) You should know that without it's back putted on this mobile does not recognize it's memory card until you put the back on.

Things I dont like about this phone -
1- Battery life, had it 6 months, needs charging every day & I only use it to phone/text people
2-back cover does not sit properly over camera always loose.
3- freezes when texting
4-reinstalled firmware 3 times now as flickers constantly when using phone
5-slide is on verge of breaking
6-defaults back to white background if you switch off instead of the pic I have set as wallpaper.
7-Ugly looking phone !!
I'm thinking of going back to my not so great Nokia 6300 as its more reliable!

even im facing the same problem,,, screen breaks n more over switches dnt work properly..:((

Looks arent everything... nt such a great phone. It keeps reseting the mem card.

don't buy this great phone unless ur prepared to risk ur screen breaking on its own in the first 12mths

these phones are great, big screen, good camera until they start giving trouble,screens breaks by itself,mine did sitting on my car console, i'm not the first from wat i've heard

crap phone freezes when you play music it crakles sngnal not very good keeps cutting me off rubbish absoltuly rubbish
