The latest firmware for 6500s is 9.60 i updated mine the difference i can notice is my camera takes more time to save images now, if ur having 9.40 or 8.** then dont update it.

can anyone tell me what is the work of the light sensor on the front / top of the phone.and does it blink, like other cells like HTC PDAs n others?

dats cp is very beautifull but i have a 2 cp 0ne is 5310xpresmusic and the other is 2660! pag iipunan q pa ung 6500 n yan s40v3 kc haha tp0z dual sim pah

zanele, 06 May 2009its freezing and i took its back 3times still got the same ... moreso you mean you wont recommend this fone for someone to buy. coz am in love with it metalic finish

I am a firm believer in Nokia phones- however, without any bias - this is one of the worst nokias I have used - I bought this as a B'day gift for my wife who likes the 'no nonsense' kinda phones with basic functionality - but this phone started giving problems from day one -
Issues Listed Below
1. The signal strength sucks !! Its got one of the worst antennas among all phone (including the chinese makes)
2. The firmware/software if horrible ! eg. if I set the phone to store all the photos that I take to the memory card, it still stores them in the limited phone memory !
3. The phone 'hangs' frequently
4. Sound on the speakers is really bad (without the headphones)
5. Camera is supposed to be 3.2 MP with Carls Ziess - you must be joking !! with worse than a VGA ! (with a little exaggeration !!)
I can go on and on...
Please think twice before buying this phone

What is the best phone between 5610 or 6500slide ? IS It front camera work without 3g ? Is it symbian ?

I like the metalic finish and the slide it not that much fast while using some new application i mean low heap memory...........
