I bought this phone a year ago and its working perfectly.
Now my software version is 08.30
I love it.
And would recommend it to all to buy it.

2) Confirm the Back Closed Correctly
(if not closed the back cover correctly
the Memory card doesn't appear in your phone)
3) Format your memory card

Hey Guys, I have this phone and i DO NOT recommend it to anyone , there are so many faults such as the lack of memory , i am constantly asked to delete content, and i only have 10 photo's and 1 song. The phone acts up all the time , sometimes not letting me answer calls and it freezes when i get a txt message, it blacks out and switches off even when the battery power is full. This is the worst phone I have ever had and would tell any one who's got it to return it NOW ! Although i love nokia and no doubt my next phone will be a nokia. Peace.

If u got a payango sim in a contract phone u need wil need to download payago settings or if u r using a sim card in a unlock fone u wil need to get the settings downloaded to the networw you r on otherwise u wnt be alble to conect to the wap!

The phone is really amazing with the best looks and performance. But there are few problems which i had come across.
1. Try playing an mp3 file, followed with a 3gp video file, --- the mobile restarts. (Happens 6/10 times)
2. Sometimes, after pairing a buletooth headset and an incomming call comes in, the moment you answer on the BT headset, Mobile freezes and restarts (Happens 4/10 times)
3. The 3G video quality is of very poor standard when compared to various other handsets in its class.
4. The battery life sucks and is real bad in a 3G network.
5. The mobile is really heavier, weighs more than 300gms
I am huge fan of Nokia mobile handsets, but this one really made me go off the hooks. I am very disappointed about the Unstable software in this handset.
But from the looks wise, it is the best and that is what the market lures the people in buying a handset.
Overall to Nokia6500S, i would give a rating of 4/10

this phone has really nice looksz but its 2 big and fat andd i prefer i Phone that has all the same features but in a skiiny model.. omgg i reallly need help on a skinny phone and has all the same stuff as the 6500 slide
