i have nokia 6555b.i can not hear my opponent on the other side.i can not even hear phone ringing when i call.some one help,is it network problem?

I've owned the phone for over 2 years and have been annoyed by it shuuting off as others have. I also do not understand why nokia has not recalled it as a company should stand behind their product! I will try the paper in the battery box suggestion, but this should Not be necessary!

Regarding the Nokia 6555 battery life problem - I finally found a solution that works for me. Simply reset the phone using the Nokia reset code *#7780# this fixed the problems I was having ( short life, power on/off on its own, etc)
this reset does not destroy your contact list or your photos, etc)

My battery seems to drain faster than normal and I am wondering if its a defect on the phone's part cos my battery is quite alright... Is the battery power this bad on a 6555?

Rubbish phone!!! Shutting down all the time. It did work for 12 months without trouble and as soon as my phone hits 13th month (out of warranty), the phone starts shutting off. Also noticed, different nokia phone, same location, same time and same provider, this phone is getting 50% less signal reception as compared to other phone.
I am sick of Nokia phones. I will try Sony!!!

mine would shut off answering or during calls,,,,,
i put in a 2 gig memory card and it hasn't happened since,,,,
some guy here said he put a piece of paper in his and fixed the shutting off problem,,,,maybe the battery just needs to be tighter in it's housing.
...or did the 2 gig card free up internal memory?
not asking a question,,good luck with a great phone.

PEOPLE!I had the same problem with turning off itself.BUT ANYMORE.Just put a little paper between battery and case,there is too much free space inside and baterry "run".
