U may use symbian software ultramp3 to play mp3 files.. but the sound output is mono.. 1 speaker sound
K700i is a music fone while 6600 is a symbian operated fone that can run thousands of symbian programs.. and i mean quality programs such as msn messenger, virtua radio, microsoft word, excel, built-in real player, ngage games and many more.. The k700i can bores u down after sometime. memory is not enough for mp3 and transfer of files is only done with bluetooth.. There is also a major problem with the k700i.. the battery drains very quickly and u have to charge the fone almost everyday. The camera shutter sound can not be turn off because the sony guys wouldn't want ppl to take pics of others without their notice.. That isn't cool eh... go for the nokia 6600.. you wont regret it.. its worth every penny!

If everyone wants this phone to have mp3 and good sound, just go buy the 6620. It has edge, stereo sound, and mp3. or the 6630 which has all that and 1.3 camera

I found out how to solve the "Unable to install. Compatible with series60SkinsSupport version 0.00" problem. It is a theme which has been installed replace the 0.00 with 1.00. So find it and uninstall it.

sky,
i don't know if you've noticed but the nokia 6600 has IrDA port...also, to send data to PC, there is a data cable available...
when you don't know something, please, first look at the specifications, manual, etc. and then ask in the opinion section...

evilinside,
well, try to use the suite and convert the songs..just try and then tell me what is the result as quality and memory...
kath,
I have tried a lot of software (both for the phone and the PC) to do about anything with my 6600. But after much consideration and experience I've decided that the best thing to do is use the official software (not only for the phone, for the PC too). It just has less bugs, doesn't torture the system, is designed especially for the selected function and so on...I'm begging you also to try using the PC Suite and convert & transfer a mp3 to the phone and after you've done so, tell me what are the results. What is the quality and the memory used...I'm currently using my Bluetooth drivers software as a FEXplorer, when I need fast transfer of anything. But, to be honest, I'm never in such a hurry...:)

Abhinivesh,
to transfer your contacts to the PC (synchronize) the only thing to do is properly install the PC Suite. I had problems with this action too. So, your laptop has internal Bluetooth connectivity receiver, so you don't have to install any drivers for a USB one, like me. The only and last thing to do is install the Nokia PC Suite and restart your laptop. When you have done that, there should be a connection manager application in the traybar. When you click on it, try to click off and on all the possible ports. When you've done that, one of them should get your Nokia 6600 connected and after that, run the PC Suite, which will have already recognized your phone and will run properly.
The bad thing, however, is that the Contact Synchronization of the official Nokia PC Suite is not good enough (for me to say). It converts your phone contacts into a PC format ones. It asks which format you would like to use, but non of them is appropriate as I have as much as 7 phones, assigned to one name. When I've transfered these contacts and have opened them (using Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook 2003 formats), I would regrettably see that there is only one (max. 2) numbers left and most of the data, that I have stored for the contact is lost (or only cannot be seen???). So, I can only advice you to make a backup of your contacts to the SIM card, then put the card in another phone and synchronize the other phone with your laptop :) I've done so with my new Motorola V3, the Motorola PC Suite is way better than Nokia's and the Synchronization is perfect. Now, I'm using both Nokia 6600 and Motorola V3 and I don't consider them as any kind of competition. Even much older, 6600 is a much powerfull tool than V3. But the design..:) Well...:)
