I have downloaded "FExplorer" from gosymbian.com site and installed it on mmc memory card. Now the problem of low memory space has been solved. I used cut & paste options for files to easily transfer files from inbox (messaging) folder to "images" folder of mmc card. Thanks again!

I can't move JPG images from phone memory to memory card that i received from other mobile using bluetooth. Why JPG photos always save into inbox section of "messages" folder? I can create new folder under "My folder" of messages folder and i can move images into it but NOT INTO MEMORY CARD or EVEN NOT INTO IMAGES FOLDER OF INTERNAL MEMORY! Can anyone has solution for this very serious problem because 6600 has only 5MB internal memory and my mobile has only 850KB free memory due to this problem. Now i can't receive any file through bluetooth even if file size is only 900KB. My mobile always shows "memory full" error. Pls help me!!!

guys please assist in advising where exactly i can find the mp3 player software to download for the 6600.....?
agree with everybody nokia couldnt have made a better handset although i would mind seeing the other versions of the 6600 such as the 6600 fold etc as it is not out in SA.

although i can say the handset is starting to get abit sloggish but a good format should do
              any suggestions?

So, the ways to send mp3 file to the phone are
                1. by using card reader(as you have used already).
                2. by using Nokia PC Suite. I think you've got the CD with the set. It works; I've used it.
No 2 has got advtg over the no 1. You don't need to remove the card & battery from the cell.

Bt i put a Mp3 through a memeory card reader i can play MP3 throug my Mp3 software.

Well I had bought my 6600 in 2004 and have had it until 2008 but sad to say I have to upgrade, this phone has been great and will be a classic in my books, the only major problem I have had in 4 years is battery replacment (which is understandable after almost 4yrs) and blue tooth replacement (after repairing it twice) But I have lost count how many times I had dropped this phone and how it got wet on a motor bike ride and was ok, it is a solid and reliable phone, at times it can hang but usually when you have too many programs open.

I used to own a 6510 and that was another classic which I would like to own as a second phone.
I replaced my 6600 with the Nokia E51 and I know I made a right decision but I hope it will last as long as my old 6600.

I would of kept my 6600 but one person I knew had no phone so I blessed them with it.
                          god bless you all.

I have to admit not all Nokia phones are good some are just leomons but every phone me and my wife have owned has all been Nokia you just have to check out the reviews and keep looking until you find the right one.
To be honest I was going to change phone brands until I saw the E51 whcih made me give Nokia another chance and the benifit of the doubt. Well I was not dissappointed and its a great phone.

By the way the 6600fold & the 6600slide is a waste of money I still think the 6600 is better.

I have a lot of memory with this cell got it long time ago MY first ever Nokia.

Its been over 4 and half years I think.

                                Still works fine!!!

If I would get the same cell brand new I might get it and keep it.

i have it and im not convenient. no mp3 (i got ultra mp3 but the sound quality is very poor). and they made the video recorder too short.... the think that all people use videos only in sending mms. all features i want in this phone needs a third party application. also in the processor. sometimes i get stuck during boot-up. and it is slow (specially when going to menu after boot-up). another is when i send via bluetooth, its slow and says "not enough memory" and i am annoyed.another is it only has 6 MB shared memory, which is no enough for me. when i receive big files i cant do. im not contented in its features. i bought if for 300 bucks and it lacks in features. i just want a phone that specialized in media purposes. maybe nokia express music phones??? i guess so. but i will use my 6600 only for communication, not for multimedia and gaming purposes. uh....or just to upgrade the processor, firmware speaker, amplifier and MMC processor (max is 512 mb, but i want 1 gb) and im ok.
