Dear Friends,
Now I have a mobile sony ericsson S500i but the main problem I am facing is low signal its not because the sim as I have used the same sim for years without any problem in another cell but in this phone the signal is quit week some times it says emergency calls only which is head ach for me.
Now after thorough search I have found this name 6600 slide can any body tell me how is the signal and voice quality and also does it show the call duration for each call?

I bought this phone from 'Clownphonewh' earlier this week. I am selling my Omnia as it has started doing my head in. Have an iPod Touch and that makes the Omnia's UI feel inferior in every way.
I have had alot of experience with mobiles so the fact that th 6600 isn't a 'smart phone' made no difference to me.
I just wanted a well made, simple and small phone so I opted for the 6600 slide.
Well.....I actually like it at the moment. Yes the backlight goes off quickly and the ring volume is a bit low but these things don't bother me. I use 'silent' alot. The buttons can be used by the big handed And the camera actually makes a beter fist of taking a photo that the Omnia in my experience.
Just a couple of concerns though:
1) I tried four 6600's in the shop and only one of them had a slide that didn't wobble or 'see-saw'. That's the one I bought....but how long will mine stay acceptable? wonder if it will start to spoon around just after the 14 day exchange period?!
2)I have had a couple of lock up's as described below by another user. They occured upon restarting the phone after switching off. Only the off button would work. However, It occured to me that the phone might be up to something especially as it told me that it was not ready to display my contacts. Hence I copied the contacts from my sim to my phone and the problem has gone away....at the moment.
Incidently, what surprises me the most is that I am posting serrious feedback on this site as usually I just take the p*** or regard the comments made by others as rather unhelpful.
Still GSMArena is a great source of information and I thought I would try and say something positive. The 6600, like most Nokias has issues in some way or another. Just depends whether you can put up with the issues and accept the compensation of the super little form factor of the 6600. I wouldn't say the phone is gender specific and if it is....who cares if you like it. Reliability will also be a mixed bag I guess. Some will have loads of issues and some lucky customers will get away with it. Check out the customer reviews on the net before you buy. Alot of problems with screen failure.

found camera ok and everything works well and the quality of the phone itsself is much better and more solid than most mobiles in that price range.

i bought this unit last december '08. we'll unit went well, its slick design really did the trick.
but recently i just experienced something with the phone, suddenly there is no response on its menu button, its call. only the on-off button is functioning and the key pad.
already did restart the unit a couple of times but still the same result. does anyone had this kind of experienced? wat did u do?

can anyone tell me where to find the opening for the headset i tried to play my radio & it keeps on saying enhancement pls but i cant find ,that and the most amazing part is even on the manual i cant find it

Also in reply to everyone else the Headphone quality is superb, the phone does has bluetooth, it doesn't come in pink as far as i am aware. other than that it's a really good phone :)

this phone has a very bad camera. it does not meet our expectations f a "good" camera. it's design is cute but dont overlook the poor functioning of this phone. do not buy this phone. you will just be wasting your money.
china phnes are worst. the earphones will deafen you.

Nice phone,excellent features - but major problem is that it has absolutely NO ringer volume or speakerphone volume. So beware before you pick it up.
