Nokia 6600 slide

I have had the 6600 slide for about six weeks, and used it on a daily basis, and my experience is that it is a good little phone.
My version is the 1c-black-magenta, and is made for the Hong-Kong market I think, as it has English and Chinese language options, I have not seen it in the shops (bought it new off e-bay), it has eight themes on board, lots of ring tones, but no Nokia maps.

hi, I think this phone is good. I have it. but it has one problem. I have version 04.81, but there are some 6600 slides which are 05.23 version. well, on nokia update, there should be an update for this. but there isn't, so I take it to the nokia servis where are going to try to do next:
Update my phone.
Remove bug where sound crackles if some1 call you.
remove the loosenes of slide.
well, at least I told them to try repairing this.
well, if you're buying this cell phone, you should now, that you will have those probs, but I'm sure they're going to fix that problem.

I have had this phone for 1 day and I love it!!!! A very good gem from Nokia..... I had major problems with the nokia 6500 slide and this was my swap from my network. The back was a little hard to undo but once it's done it's fine. Either buy or upgrade to this phone and you won't be disappointed. Enjoy

Hay guys it's not that bad fone to have when u pay less money,I recommand u guys to wait bit longer when price go down a bit, I know all the problems in this handset which does exist but after all I'm happy 2 have this handset as I bought it for under £100, well I get staff discount where I work,don't ask where,.. But yeah really I don't have regrets having this done along with low ringtone,hearing problem and little bit of software problem coz I paid a real bargin, I know 4 fact that on 22 jan 2209 the price is going down in uk, so wait and buy it 4 cheap, so u won't complain or moun

ive just bought the phone 2days ago and have noticed some problems, speaker sound is flawed and slide mechanism looks iffy.

Hi guys. i got this phone like 2 days ago. i'm just wondering, did anyone notice "dirty" sound when ringing or listening music on speaker? Is just my phone f*cked up? could speaker be damaged? I also noticed that it gets a bit loose when opening it.

The size is right and the features are many and I have decided to stick with this phone for a while.
But I must say that this is not an unflawed phone.
- software makes the phone freeze and become irresponsive for minutes - this happens often when using the camera but also during other activities
- the buttons are not good for typing... I could wish that Nokia had made more "slide" real-estate and given the buttons an extra milimeter in height

7.8 / 7.4 / 7.4 is not representive for this mobile. should be easily 8. this mobile is really good as long you do not expect a full range multimedia phone. biggest advantages
- very good battery
- looks great
- feels very good in the hand
- full metal made
- easy to use
- good voice quality
