i absolutely LOVE this phone. the overall look of the phone is just adorable. I've had it for a little over a year and so far no problems. I have even gotten it wet and dropped it. The radio is great, as well as the speakerphone and cute backgrounds/ ringtones. this phone even has a degree converter.

noit doesnt recognise and play .amr format sound.so no question of setting it as ringtone.it only plays .mid,.midi.

no problem for buying this fone.its better than 6610i.its screen is better than 3200 and 6610i.the infrared port is no good.it cant b used 2 connect 2 other phones,however its very easily connected 2 ur pc's IR-port.
another plus for this fone is dat its battery is superb aand d radio sound is really loud and clear.

this is surely one of the best things to happen to a mobile phone subscriber! sleek, trendy, great back up, awesome ring tones(do mi so rocks) and exceptionally good network coverage! all in all a gr8 buy!

This is a really great phone... I luv its shape and weight.... As regards its infrared it does not work with other Nokia Phones like 3200 etc... All in all a very good phone.

Sorry! for reposting and also for some what bad english. My english is not so good but I will try to tell you the whole idea. I want to tell you the whole story of my phone i.e. Nokia 6610(Black) with firmware NHL-4U Version 5.53. Last week (May 10,2005) I was using Oxygen Phone Manager v2.xxx with my Nokia 6610 through data cable DKU-5. I was sending SMS. In first try of the sendign the messege, the software did not send any SMS although I have send SMS with the same software several time before this event. I thought there is some problem with the phone because it generally hang out while using GPRS and I have to switch it off and then again on to rectify the bad condition under which it doesn't connect to Internet. So this time also, when I proceed to switch off my phone then what I see that my phone was already switched off itself. I was very
strange. However I try to switch it on again and this phone refused to switch on after a blue flash on the LCD. Now every time it was behaving like that while I was still trying to switch it on. I even put off the battery and SIM card out of my phone for 12 Hours but the condition doesn't rectified. Next day I went to Nokia Customer Care for repairing purpose. Nokia customer care is in next town to my residence and it took 2 hours to just go to Care Center and returning back to the home and I have to go there by bus becuase I have not any vehicle. At this point I want to tell you my phone was 8 months old and was under warranty. I was sure that this is the problem with firmware of the phone becuase my friends' Nokia 1100 and my cousins' Nokia 2100 were rendered Dead but without any reason as they don't ever connect their phone to any PC. So in their case the reason was not known. Anyway, I told Nokia Customer Care person the whole story and he promised me to give my phone back the next day after repairing but I got my phone back after 4 days and travelling to that town 3 times in the summer when there was so hot outside. It
proves that Nokia Corp. has such type of customer care center where their employee don't understand any reponsibility over their customers. Hmmmm! Very Bad Nokia customer care support. Now Back to phone again. My phone was dead because of what I was thinking before i.e. Firmware (or Software) Problem. Customer Care replace it with ver. 5.63 and now phone is working right. But I have learnt one thing that I will never send SMS via PC now even while using Nokia PC Suite (It is Bundled with Nokia Phone). Now you can understand how badly stable is the nokia firmware. It is just not an issue with Nokia 6610 it is also a problem with other NOkia Phone. I think
Nokia can never make a stable phone. Their phones are just to Show Off and they really don't meant to do what they must do.
If you want to buy the Phone then don't go for Nokia. Siemene and Sony Erricson are very good choice and last but not least Never use stupid shit softwares like Oxygen Phone Manager as these creepy software made by Buggy software Engineers do nothing but render you phone really "DEAD".

Although the phone is good but Nokia Support is bad and really really bad. I had to go to other town 3 times for my 9 months old Dead Nokia 6610 Black phone. I was sending SMS through trial Oxygen Phone Manager Version 2.0 and then phone just dead (wow!). It has very bad firmware. Nokia never put stable firmwares in their phone. Mine was NHL-4U VER. 5.53. It was really very experience to be with Nokia for first and last time.

This is a perfect phone.Thanks to Nokia.But recently the Infrared in the phone is not functionong properly.Try to send ringtone from other Nokia phone to this model the infrared not access the service.

This fone has execellent performance and I recommend it to anyone who needs a fone that achieves clarity in term of reception, good network signal,FM radio to listen to the news, music etc.Also it is reliable and great in design.

dont buy this fone it is the worst fone ever. first of all the fone broke never been droped or wet (only 2weeks old) sent it back to nokia and they supposedly fixed it. but when i got it back nothing had been done to it and it was still broken so i sent it back again and once again the same so on its 3rd visit back nokia said it had been wet and wont fix it but it had never been wet because it spent more time at nokia than with me so i went and bought a sony ericsson t630 and it was the best thing i have ever done. so dont ever buy this fone or any other nokia because a simelar thing happened to my brothers 7250i

simply the BEST Cell phone by Nokia. Great & all features a cell phone should have. Truly happy with the functioning of the cell fone. Once again GREAT!!!!!!!!!!

Man this is a good deal when it comes to purchase a mobile with a lower price. Has the function that basicly required. Other wise its sleek and has its macho sence in it. Damn its a good phone...go and grab it dudes
