I have had the 3210 and then the panasonic gd92 and the nokia 3310. I have the 6610 now and its a definite improvement over the earlier black-n white models by nokia. The plus points are the colour screen, text message memory(75), FM radio(not present in the 6100),long battery life, polyphonic tones. The minuses are the lights do not flash when receiving a call from a caller assigned in your groups, the green call key and number 1 key are too closely placed, the 4way scroll is practically useless, no voice dialling, no composer, only 2 games(Nokia, why do you want us to depend on WAP/GPRS for downloading games? How about preloading more games and increasing the memory pool in the phone?). Also how about live call timer during call session to let us know how much time has elapsed while talking? Panasonic has this facility in its phones.

The price you mentioned includes a contract with the operator or do they sell it sim free? In that last case, it's a real bargain. If not, it's a common price throughout Europe...

When can we expect a huger fall in the price for that mobile? For its age and compared with newer similary models in terms of performance like Siemens M55, it appears to be a bit too expensive (250-300€, sim free). I hope that 6220 will be launch on the market as soon as possible, so that older models like 6610 or 6100 become more affordable.

In Canary Islands(Spain), Amena (operator) offer it in 155€ (less than 150 dollars)..

yah! there are some vertical wave always moving fr left to right, i think it's normal just it only has 4096 colors and a LCD, so...!!! But don't worry, my own has this phenomenon!

i love this phone so much but i dont like it. Its nice and small and is really big. Its a heavy phone which feels lightweight!

just get here today in Vietnam! the price is about US$ 245! I think the price equals to the performance! frist, I intend to take a Samsung C100, but at the end I take this phone 'coz of its convenience!!! just a little things is the keypad is not firm like my own 8250! Good at all!

A very good phone, with plenty functions and a bright color screen. But, for what it costs, Nokia could have provided the cable data. All the more because the software "Nokia suite" is included in the box! Stingy, Nokia??

Vertical lines, it's quite normal. But not moving from left to right... I've never noticed this on mine's display, Mohit. You would maybe wait for other comments to make an opinion if your mobile faces a problem. Regards.

HOW D! i own a NOKIA 6610(made in Finland) Yesterday.It is my first color & NOKIA fone.
sorry to say that I,m finding some trouble with my 6610.The main problem is with my display.In stand by mode,(when wallpaper activated) i see some virtical wave always moving left to right on wallpaper pic(specially companys default wallpaper ,flower jpeg,golf jpeg,travel jpeg).some menu logo(like game logo) also making the same problem.i carefully findout that some deep color Portion having this problem.I don,t know is it a problem or not.Becos i did,t use any color display fone before.In my country(Bangladesh),Here is no Nokia dealer so i did,t
got any warrenty for my 6610.
I wish to use data cable to transfer some lovely picture to my 6610 & i want to see them as a wallpaper.But i guess the same problem ,ll happen again.are some one facing the same problem
