Hi. I m currently having firmware version 6.03.40. D0es firmware version affects camera result c0z few days back i was having version 05.03.08 and when i upgraded the version i felt s0me change in camera. Plz reply

peters the code for your problems is 0000, or if u still cant, try 12345 ... this are the codes to nokia phones...anything you need to change ...

JUL maybe you bought a slow memory card. there a lot of memory card in the market right now that has 120x speed and as well as 150times speed than any other memory card.... so therefore you should buy a hi-speed reading and writing capacity Memory card. mine is a 150x speed 512mb Reduced sized memory card and it is very fast, especially when i open files and recording video and as well as taking picture in high resolution.

Its the best nokia handset in its group of cost, features etc. it even has more feqatures than other sets of same type. i cant jz think of purchasing any other but 6630 if unfortunately the present one is damaged. i m using it far last 15 months.

why when i use 128 mb of mmc the vvideo recorder is very slow it.s very bad but whn i use 64 mb of mmc it.s normal on my 6630 phone ,why

2ways of reformatting ur phone. 1. Turn off ur phone. Turn it on, then immidietly press and hold "3, * , green" at d same time. Hold the buttons until the nokia logo appears. 2. Just press *#7370# on the main screen. For some reason i dont know, i thnk the first method is better...

to 'vincent O', try restarting ur phone. F ur browser and messgng stil doesnt work properly, i suggest that u reformat ur phone.

6630's specs still are amazing
it has the same processor as that of the n70-n90-n71-n72-6233 and sony ericsson's k800
people usually only notice that the 6630 has 1.3mpx cam but what they dont know is that having more megapixels doesnt really equate to having better quality
just like having more megahertz doesnt always mean that you have a fast/adequate processor for gaming
It has the CCD lens which is superior to CMOS though the S.E. CMOS is of the same level nowadays since well S.E. basically reconstructed the CMOS type hehe
It is a smartphone(which is capable of running lots of different 3rd party applications, and is a class regarded as an 'elite class' of phones)
It has the ETI camcorder app which offers clearer videos than most of the new phones out specially compared to almost all of the newest sony ericsson and motorola phones out there
except for the p990 and the w900 for S.E. and dunno about the motorola fones though hehehe
which can be converted to VGA or QVGA clips (the videos taken with the 6630 ETI camcordewr app)for bigger video viewing without noticeable loss of quality as it is in superior AVI format compared to what most phones offer which is 3gp which doesnt usually produce qood quality videos because of the compression of the file, cept maybe for the 6233 and,again, the w900 which takes outstanding videos on 3gp file
the speakers of the 6630 arent as good as the new batch of phones though the earpiece has very very clear sound hehe
and for a phone with a high grade processor and carries only a 65k color screen it's quite fast compared to other smartphones with QVGA screens carrying the same processor hehe
it is the sequel to the legendary 6600 hence it's one of the phones which is compatible with most applications
quite reliable for a smartphone which does alot as well hehehe

the best that npkia has to offer in this price segment.its aptiy that we dont get a radio after paying a hefty amount like that.also, i have noted that the UI is fast only with smaller cards.phone slows down greatly with larger cards and duration of usage.the ext speaker quality is less than adequate.mp3 sounds pale when compared with SE.but the ear bud quality is good and also the battery life.
i had owned this phone but now i am now a happy owner of SE W700i. take my advice and try SE.
