I`ll say that`s a complete phone. It works fine on 3G, I specially love that you can store as many contacts or messages as you want. Compare to other phones 3g or non 3g i`ll say that`s the best.

hi..guys
i was gonna buy this fone but at last moment i changed my mind n bought 6681.. there's not much diff between d both except 3g... n 3g services has still not come to india... so its better to buy its other varient if u r in india...now my next fone would be the 1 which comes after Nseries...n by dat time 3g services wud b very common.. so i think its better to buy 6681 instead ofdis 1...if u r from india.. or ne other country which does not hv 3g services... still.. ny ways...nokia rocks...n will always

Me again. Just noticed an inadvertence here on gsmarena. This phone actually allows mp3's as ringtones in case you're interested.

Hey, I just made the switch from the former 6630 (mine had problems, old firmware & stuff).
Bought mine for ~400e from Connex Romania.
It has a great display (it's at least as sharp as the 6630 was), I've had to update some software (i.e. Smartmovie). The casing seems better than 6630, the keyboard is definitely better. I'd like to see some other casings (even third party products), eventually full metal back :-))
No software problems of any kind here, no restarts. I'm still using the genuine 64 card provided.
My *only* complaint (toward Nokia Finland):
Before I gave up my 6630 I made a backup file in Nokia PC Suite. Now I'm desperately trying to use that with my new 6680 but its not working. So all my *well organised* contacts are gone (still have the sim card, but too lazy to start over again). Is this ANY way to open the backup of an "old" model in order to save *at least* the contacts in the new phone? I suppose there is a whole bunch of customers upgrading so, common Nokia, look into that problem.

To copy the sim contancts quickly, you have to goto sim contacts in phone book, then mark all of them and then in options goto copy.
All sim contacts will be copied in 1 go

Overall, this phone is the best phone that i've had so far! However, i don't know if it is the phone of if there is a fault but when i call someone i can't hear them!! Even thought the volume is to the max! I still can't hear them!! but my Loudspeaker + Handsfree works perfectly so it might be an internal problem? I was wondering if anyone might know if this is a FAULT or if the Nokia 6680 is generally a quiet phone. Apart from that the phone is great! B

I bought this online a week ago - and also the 256Mb rsdvmmc (made by ATP) that was just out..
Sim-free - inserted my virgin sim and it comes up as t-mobile, but everything works - lots of complex settings, but nokia and virgin will do it for you..

Guys, Its been four days I have the 6680 and believe me, I CANT HEAR A THING when im talking. The volume is all the way to the max, but I just cant hear the person im talking to. I thought I was imagining so i reverted back to my 6230 for two minutes and I realised I wasnt imagining. It cant be the sticker that protects the screen cause it has a hole in that area. Loudspeaker; the other person cant hear me, versus anyone can hear me using loudspeaker on the 6230.

I just got the 6680 a few weeks ago. If you cant wait about 8-10 months for the N70, then I really would say you should get this phone.Featurewise, it is very amazing (including QuickOffice, PDF Support). Regarding the 1.3 Megapix Camera, I feel it is adequate and you shouldnt bother with a better camera as a digital camera is the best option till phones with 4Megapixel (a few years) come out. Yes, some people have talked about some software issues, but i would say these are very minor and the 6680's features, cameras and design cover up for it totally. I am pretty sure this phone will still be 'up to date' in the Year 2006 . If you have got the 6680 and are considering swapping for a Nseries, just wait for the better cameras. Also, i feel that there wont be that many new features in the future for phones except better browsing speed (6680=impressive) and camera upgrades.

Umang,
I dont know whether all the applications of the previous Smartphones[ 6600,7610] will run on the 6680..But i have Smartmovie & UltraMp3 runnin on mine..
Although i initially had problems with the Smartmovie version i had installed..then i got a mail from lonelycatgames.com that they have upgraded the Smartmovie for the 6680 & after installing the newer version i dont seem to have a problem..

Because you'll often find certain sites will say a phone has a video camera feature although it does not. Or it'll say it's a MP camera phone when it's only VGA
