Nokia 6700 classic

I'm new to Nokia phones and have just bought 6700 Classic recently. I am happy with the phone so far, but realise that the messages are only showing the sender's name at the top, and not the date and time. I couldn't find the setting to add details to the messages. Wonder if anyone knows where I can configure the settings to show the date and time as well. Appreciate your help in this. Thanks.

Lovely phone, but one big problem. The chrome version seriously heats up when you are talking on it. I mean really hot after only a couple of minutes. Doesn't make me want to talk on it. Anyone else suffer this?

A lack of a standard 3.5mm jack means that you simply cannot plug in your conventional headphones and enjoy music. What that means is that you will have to use the headphoens provided by Nokia, no doubt they won't be of great quality, or that you will need to buy an attachment, adding more wires and costs.
But that isn't neccessarily a bad thing, 3.5mm jacks can be damaged and come loose with heavy use, depending on how well made it is coming from Nokia.
Since this phone has Bluetooth v2.1, you should be able to use any Bluetooth headsets with this device, if anything, it's up to you to research what you'll need in an headset.

It was a demo model, certainly handled in a bad fashion till date, so it had lots of scratches on the backside and few fingerprint marks too.

This phone looks aesthetically pleasing, but where's the secondary camera? No WLAN? and what's with no standard 3.5mm jack? AHH! But apart from that, nice camera and I would consider since I have Nokia 6300. I hope it's as durable as 6300 too, I can do anything to mine! :)

the model is good. every thing is fine.if its got secondary camera for 3G calls. its very use full for slim official phone users.

I bought N6700 classic three days ago and so far I'm very pleased with it's performance. Slim and stylish, exellent sound, good camera. Battery life is 48 hrs with heavy use. The only thing I don't like is the joystick - very difficult to handle and it takes time to get use to it.
My personal vote is 8 out of 10.

LUCKY ME. I have the shiney silver version which really does scratch alot, i just won a black version in a comp i entered about 6 months ago & it will be here monday, LUCKY ME lol

Alex, 30 Jul 2009I was really looking forward to getting this phone, but all... moreIt sounds like you have a phone with a software problem, the text with the icons below is now in all nokia phones as standard, the phone should be quick whilst browsing, crashing is def a prob with software & not seen any1 else complain about that yet, my memory card is in alphabet order, go to option & sort by name, if i was you i would take it to the carphone warehouse & get them to send off & re set the software, this will sort out the problems.
