Thanks for the info guys, but the lack of audio jack is very disappointing..i guess you just can't have looks and funtionality in one phone

An appealing device which will find that its strongest alternative in the market comes from the same company, the N79, which now retails for around the same price as this device will at launch. Fans of the great S40 o.s. who are not particularly in need of GPS will possibly opt for the 6600i Slide. Away from Nokia, Samsung's Lucido is probably the most direct alternative. Clearly yesterday's high end is today's mid end. Great choice out there.

I think there is a large proportion of people, especially the older generations, who won't have researched into phones and don't particularly know what they want in a phone, and will go for anything recommended to them.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970It says released. it was posted as available last friday... so, in my experience with gsmarena, it will probably be available in stores in about a week or so. it was the same with my e71, actually a coplle of days after it was posted as available, i got mine.
so it won't be long now

- which might suggest that they are releasing the N97 first, and to avoid competing against themselves, they are probably separating the release dates hoping more people would buy the more expensive N97. Any views on this?
