When you go to nokia site and compare it to another phone on the WLAN column writes yes.
      Go and check it out.

JOHN, 17 Feb 2009It's available in Romania. 310 eurosIf early versions are available in Romania for 310 euros the price will simply have to drop as this means it is more expensive than the N78, and indeed the 6220 Classic.

I don't understand the ryhme or reason behind the frequencies Nokia chooses to use. What about the 6500 Classic? For 3G it only uses 850 and 2100mhz. No 1900 for the US and no 1800 for Europe. That one is available for sale in their NYC company store, so even if you say its primarily for Australia, they are still marketing it as a phone for the USA. A bit misleading?

Nokia says they want to increase market share in the US...this won't happen if their new exciting phones are partially crippled in the US market.

Anonymous, 18 Feb 2009I can see this working only if it's priced fairly cheap. ... moreNo WLAN didn't stop the 6500 classic and the 6300 in particular selling in record numbers which is what this phone replaces. Those who took the 6300 out on contract will find the 6700 to be offered as a replacement at the same price (the 6700 will be free on contracts).

The vast majority of consumers don't need WLAN which is why so many handsets exist without it. Those wanting WLAN can opt for a number of more expensive devices isntead.

No WLAN, S40 instead of S60 and video recording only at 15FPS. It is fairly thin though.

Will they release a North American version that has support for both 3G frequencies (850 & 1900)? Why is is that Nokia makes great phones that leave out 1 frequency to make them difficult to use in the US?
