I have Nokia 6700s (Raw Aluminium). Awsome mobile phone and very well meterial used for making it. Slider is very well and smooth. Camera is great in 5MP resolution. 600MHz with Symbian^3 works superb and fast. Nice multitask handling. Sound quality is good. With 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack extension, you can attach every devices, i.e. Headphones, Woofer, Home Theatre, Car Aux, etc. Battery backup time is average maximum 2days with taxting and average calling. A little drawback(s) of this mobile phone is,are NO WIFI, NO AGPS. But with 3.5G of data service you will not feel these drawbacks. Autorotation only works in Gallery. Signel reception is great. Keypad is nice for texting. A range of nice colours casing. Best price tag for these functions.

TURNING OFF CAMERA SOUNDS FOR 6700S:
Yes, of course. It is quite tricky. It took some time to discover it. Under: "MENU", "SETTING", "SETTINGS", "GENERAL","PERSONALIZATION", "TONES", "WARNING TONES".
Turn "WARNING TONES" OFF. It worked for me.

lenn, 06 Feb 2011is nokia 6700 slide worth it to buy? what their advantage i... moreIn my opinion it's a great phone and really worth buying I don't say there are not better phones,but I think you can't find a better one with this price.nokia x3 is not as good as 6700s you know x3's camera is 3.2 and it doesn't have an OS,one of my friends has x3 and i think pictures are not clear and bright.but about x3-02 touch and type i don't have any information i just say i like it and i just THINK it is very similar to 6700s.x6 is more expensive than 6700s and the biggest differences are that x6 is a touchscreen phone and it's OS version is higher than 6700s but i can say they have lots of similarities ,absolutely not in design.even 6700s's digital zoom is more than x6.when i wanted to buy my cell phone x6 was one of my choices and 6700s was the other. I chose 6700s because of the price and because i wanted a small phone and having a touchscreen was not important for me.if you want to spend more money you can have better ones.i hope my information was helpful.

about your question i have to say that I don't use the micro USB as much as you,but somehow i use it frequently,it depends sometimes i don't use it for a week and sometimes i use it twice a day,but in this 5 months i can say I've used it a lot specially in the first two months,and since the time i bought it i haven't had a problem with the USB jack,but i have to say that i always use these kind of electronic devices
with a great care.my brother has a Nokia too(he bought it 5 years ago it's N82) but he doesn't have this problem either.

But, I have noticed ,(and I wanted to check it with you, that is already 5 month since you bought it…) that the micro USB jack is very fragile. Day by day increases my fear of to be broken it when I plug or unplug… As I synchronize between the phone and two computers, I plug/unplug like 4 times/day…
I have read that nokia has this problem in several phones. Have you noticed something?

It's about 5 months that i have this phone and i"m totally satisfied with it.with this price you cant have a better one.for me the having an OS is really important
because i install lots of softwares games and themes on my cell phone and this one is great. it's Symbian ^3 but sometimes i can install Symbian ^5 games and themes on it.the camera is a real 5 MP and pictures are great.for listening to music it's not bad it is not a music phone but the voice quality is good
and about the voice recorder it has a very powerful recorder and i use it a lot.in my opinion it is a great phone. i agree it doesn't have a very beautiful design but that doesn't matter for me very much
