I have been using this Phone since November 2018. My user review is as follows;
1. Design
The design is hardy and durable. I have the blue version and the quality is really solid and sturdy. The edges have the gold accents and I decided to use a clear cover. It looks great.
2. Connectivity
All connectivity options work very well. No lags and no loosing the network when using LTE. The bluetooth works great and the WiFi is really strong and keeps the signal.
3. Display
The display is really bright even under direct sunlight. I can grey it out thanks to digital well being by google. It has the ability to turn the screen on momentarily when i lift the handset and this is really cool. The screen is also tough with GG3 and no cracks yet! The AR is 16:9, really wish nokia trimmed the bezels and used 18:9 or 19:9 ration.
4. CPU, RAM, HDD
The SD630 run well and everyday tasks are a breeze. I noticed mini-more lags here and there depending on the apps I am running. I have the 32GB, 3GB RAM variant. I ran Geekbench 4 and the scores were, SCS 869 and MCS 4130. This is in the midrange definately.
5. FP sensor
The fingerprint is fast once you trace it! The elongated design at the back makes you land on the zeiss branding while looking for the FP sensor. Do not be in a rush also when trying to unlock the device, you will get alot of notifications that you were too fast. When you place you finger right, it is quite snappy.
6. The cameras
The back camera is good and renders the photos well. I think the zeiss branded lens helps alot. This is for photos in the daylight. Once it is dark, do not expect much because this device is not able to handle low light photos well. The selfie camera is alright for this midranger. Nokia have the dual shot where you can actually use the back and front cameras simultaneously for both stills and video! It is really cool. 4k videos, i really dont use this often, i want to use HD so that I get all my stuff backed up on google cloud photos.
7. Battery
The 3000Mah battery is good. I am able to get at least 24 hours out of it. I remain connected on WiFi all day. I play some games occasionally and do a lot of phone calls. I am keen to charge my device only once a day and so I have actually confirmed the above for me. I think the Pie update is really using AI for battery and it is working.
8. OS
I bought this device with android Oreo, then i got the update sometime in December for Pie. The device is running really well. I like the new UI in Pie where I can use the single navigation button. It is a breeze working with this. It is an android one device so we get 2 years of updates at least. Waiting for android Q already! I have been getting monthly updates sometime around mid-month.
9. Price Point
This is hard to comment on. I think Nokia could have competitively priced this device. I got mine in Nairobi for about $205. There are other devices at this price point which are great performers using a better SOC like SD636 etc. In fact for $170 you get some offerings from Xiaomi and other brands which are competitive. But of course this is an android one device and you get software updates which are rare at this price point.
10. Summary
The Nokia 6.1 2018 is a good device for those who are nostalgic Nokia fans and even new comers. It has a capable processor for everyday tasks, a good camera that will keep those precious memories captured and stored. The battery life is good, overall this is a beautiful and sturdy device. If you are a geek obsessed with performance and heavy gaming, then this is not your device.

Google realized some people valued a pure/clean Android experience, so Android One is now just Google's clean Android platform with frequent updates. Flagship devices like the Nokia 8.1 even have Android One.

The Android Pie update made this phone great. When I bought it with Android Oreo, there were frequent lags and stutters. Now it's fast, it's stable, the screen looks good, the fingerprint reader works well, it's physically tough, it has fast charging, the software stays up to date. There are things that would be nice to have, like an unlocked bootloader, waterproofing, stereo speakers, longer battery life, more RAM for future proofing. But this phone does everything I need right now and does it well, for less cost than a Pixel.

[deleted post]The reason for the poor English is because the Nokia 6.1 is an Android One device and Android One devices are intended for developing nations. and (spoiler alert) most people in developing nations don't have the best English skills. Instead of bashing the poor English of people, you should go do something productive.

the phone is ok but be warned: i came from a google pixel 1, but it died so i had to buy this, big mistake, if you live in USA go for refurb pixels, they are a lottery, mine was crap.

                                        ok the nokia 6.1:
locked bootloader, if you want to unlock you must pay 5$ to some website for the codes, but after pie upgrade, nokia locked the bootloader even more, now you have to downgrade and pay even more, it is a pain to root this thing, a nightmare, even recover the system is hell, compared to motorola and pixels with system images freely available and unlocked bootloaders.

android 9 is ok, but it is not the same as google 9 on the pixels, there are some features not present here, also there are bugs, and nokia task manager kills apps like crazy to mantain battery, this is not bad if they let you config

3.5 jack is annoying placed, you headphone will disconnect a lot

vol and power buttons are inversed vs almost any other phone, very annoying

but asides from that, the phone is decent
