Planning on getting this phone because it's one of the few 5.8" with FHD but it's a year old model. Advice on getting it now or something better coming in the near future?

No I would go for this Nokia it is a superb phone better than Honor. This is better value for your money that is my advice.

Bought it 2 days ago and so far happy considering what I have paid for it. Camera feels a bit grainy and the selfies taken in low light conditions doesn't look great. Battery life is enough to last a day if you don't play any games on it or watch movies on it. Accessories that come with the phone are really not that great either, headphones are really awful and isn't comfortable to use at all, charger was a regular 2 Ampere charger. Everything else about the phone is quite nice though. Go for it if you are on a tight budget and you care about having latest software.

There is an issue in my N6.1+ while playing YouTube video. I should hv to touch × button at right bottom corner To hide on screen buttons. Which is very irritating while my friend hv same device same android version and same YouTube app version hv not this issue..is there any soln for this???

this is a vergood phone for me. but why this is not supported 5Ghz wifi as announced. this is a big lie. this is only i complain.

The glass finish is spectacular. Camera is pretty good with decent lighting. Camera is good enough for average use, unless you want to take a snap of the craters on moon ;) I am regular player or PUBG. Absolutely no issues there. Haven't faced heating or battery draining problems yet. Charging is fast. Even though battery is 3060mAh. It comfortably goes on over a day(please note I play games and my phone is always kept on 24x7). I might say it weighs a little more than I wanted it to, but the screen ratio is spot on. I am using for 4 weeks now. No problems yet. A good buy, for me.

While Nokia 6.1 plus memory is expandable up to 256 GB

Only if you are a very heavy user like you play games or use apps throughout the day, it's not for you coz the battery is not big.
Nice in design department.
Camera, Performance, RAM, Battery, internal storage, CPU, all are decent.So, If you want a decent phone which is good value for money, it's for you.
I am using it for couple of weeks, no issues seen yet.
