Yes, some how you are right. Still I am using Lumia 520. After seeing the video quality of that 5MP camera, I trusted Nokia and brought this model. Now I realize that nokia's hardware is entirely different and microsoft's driver and application for that camera is entirely different than today's Google Cam. Still I believe on google, they may come with good quality software for their android-one smart-phones. At least they can learn from the existing stock android phones.

Was about buying the Nokia x6 but the way people are criticizing the phone is giving me a second thought. I love the design and the ram but since people in this forum are complaining about the camera and the battery life, I'm not comfortable. Strong advice please

[ One month user feedback of Nokia6.1+ || THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU BUY ] I think the olden classic phones made by Nokia is entirely different than today's theirs smart-phones. Previously they were designing their circuits, own radio design, battery etc. But today those are not required since the heart of the smart-phone chipsets are made by Qualcomm or Mediatek. The software is also done fully by google in the name of android-one. So, what is nokia's part in this product? They has to select the right peripheral components and integrate those properly, that's all. To do that also, nokia failed or what? :o . People are buying a branded smart-phone for high cost to enjoy good quality of calls, good camera, good battery etc. Here, I am facing the problem in call itself in my nokia 6.1 +. While calling to opposite party, once she/he picks-up the call, the call got established. But no voice communication from both the ends and simply I am loosing money for the call. This is not happening with all the phones and I don't know how to find out the issue? Second thing, the camera images are not giving good quality images / videos, I can say those are not sharp enough. I am a rare camera user, but on my family touring or function, I am shooting the videos / images for our memorable memories. I used to store all the captured snaps and videos into my hard-drive and used to watch on TV. There I am seeing the quality loss / jerking of video frames, grains in video. Third thing, the battery. I am not a gamer or movie watcher. This battery is not with standing at-least for 24 hours. I don't know what kind of components Nokia designed / brought from their vendors and made this product? I feel Nokia support is useless here. I send email and no reply, try to catch them in a on-line chat. That person is replying 15 minutes once. When do I communicate my problem with them.? Over all, I am not happy with this product. I was very happy with my previous Asus Zenfone2 Laser. That 13MP camera quality is much better than this nokia's 16+5MP camera. That UI was excellent and user friendly, here no UI at all. Think twice or try to get the phone from existing friends to get feel, before you buy this Nokia 6.1+ product.

After a good camera experience with lumia 520, I decided to go for this and then realizing my blunder. First of all this phone is costly compare to other manufacturers. Battery is not upto the mark. For this big high resolution bright display 3060ma battery is useless. No sharp picture from camera. I am not suspecting only the camera software, suspecting the camera hardware also. No good UI (I dont know where is UI). This android-one is no way of user friendly. No new message, charge full LED indicator. While connecting the charger, there is a loud notification tone; I want to disable that since it is disturbing during night, and no option at all. There is no % indicator for battery. So many small things are missing there like this. More over all these things has to be fixed by google not by nokia, as it is an android-one phone. They are asking for upgrade to next OS version. The next OS pie doesnt support 3rd party auto call recorder (ACR), but the old oreo is doing. But, ACR is must for me. Man, enough is enough with nokia. This should be my last nokia phone, I wont opt any body for this phone, particularly any android-one phones.

gin, 16 Oct 2018Here's my opinion about this phone after using it for rough... moreeven you use the earphone with your old phone, that may not be well suitable with the new nokia. a half mm deviation of the pins may cause enough issues. try to use a earphone without mic, if you observe good audio quality then we can say your existing earphone is not suitable. take the phone to earphone shops (in malls/independent shops) and try with different head/ear phones and choose one.

Just bought Nokia 6.1 plus last week. Phone is awesome in appearance and has some good features too but if u r selfie addict then this is not a good option for u. Camera clarity is really disappointing. Also battery percentage is not visible on notification bar. But considering the price segment, it is very recommended phone.
