Nokia 6, 5 and 3 hands-on: A closer look

A closer look

Conclusion

Nokia and HMD came out with some strong offerings, we have a good feeling about the brand's return to its homeland in Europe.

The Nokia 6 is great option for people who want a well-built 5.5" phone for the screen size rather than the high-end specs. The 5.5" segment is quite busy with various premium phones, which the 6 can match in build quality if not chipset power.

Of the three, the Nokia 5 could prove to be the best-seller. Its metal unibody feels better than the 5" competition from Motorola and Sony, even if the phone can't quite match their cameras. Do keep in mind that the European Moto G5 Plus is capped at 1080p video, not 2160p like its US twin.

Finally, the Nokia 3 may be in a bit of a trouble. We do love its polycarbonate back, but a quad-core CPU and 720p video at €140? If it's a pure Android you want, however, the competition suddenly thins out.

These three phones certainly whet our appetite and we're curious to see what Nokia and HMD have in store for the premium market. However, the MWC trio will probably prove a reliable source of income for the new old brand.
