Most reviews I've read points out that the 700 "only" has 2 gb phone memory.

Yet, android phones that typically come with 200 mb never bothers them.

Why is that?

I have to definitely agree that this phone is overpriced. Although it is a Nokia handset, which is of often good built and lasts a long time. However the hardware in the phone are not worth the price.

I can get the ZTE Skate (running Android), which is far better than this phone for half of the price of this phone.

Had one for a week now - choice came down to this or Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray or this one, chose the Nokia 700

                          Plus points:
nicely put together - looks and feels like a quality piece of kit.
Physical buttons to accept/reject calls immediatly and by 'feel' rather than having to slide boxes across a screen which might not even be visisble on bright days!
Symbian Belle seems pretty well sorted - nice to use with most of the stuff you need integrated and widgets for the stuff you don't need but would like arriving soon (I wish it had a 'cancel' option on all screens however - some require you select 'OK' even if you want to reject the changes you made!).
Lots of free stuff - SIP allows VOIP fully integrated into contacts; offline maps mean no nasty data charges while roaming (when you need maps!); DLNA add-ons; good software update support
Nokia 'switch' software makes it really easy to update from your old Nokia phone... all data gets copied over via bluetooth - even your call log!

                          Bad Points:
Rubbish battery - I get two days maximum whatever I do. The battery is tiny, I think they only fitted a small one so it wouldn't compete with 701 or leftover C7 stock
Disappointing Audio - call quality is good, but music is poor with stong 'sibilance' from both loudspeaker and on headphones (ie. poor audio ciruitry). Louspeaker is loud however, so don't know why the review criticised this
Poor camera - mine is every bit as bad as the sample in the GSM Arena Review. Worse than fixed-focus 3.2MP camera in my E52. I don't use it much so don't care, but I would sometimes like to photo documents and this camera isn't good enough for even that. Movies seem OK, however
Screen is mixed bag - very bright (actually too bright even on minimum - wish I could darken it more to save battery) and nice colours but lowish resolution make the small fonts they use on the widgets seem a bit blurred (The Experia Ray is much better in terms of screen resolution of small fonts). I think they had space to put in a bigger screen, but they chose not to because of fear of competing with 701 or 'leftover' C7 units

                          Conclusion:
As a 'smartphone' this one is more 'phone' than smart, but I think that is a good thing. In contrast I find Android phones to be a somewhat messy 'smart' multimedia devices with added 'phone' capabilities which to me is less desireable. Style, quality of construction and nice interface give the Nokia 700 owner lots of user satisfaction and I would class the phone as being 'good'. The sad thing is that I think they *could* have fitted a bigger battery and screen in the same package and then the phone would have been 'great' (add a better camera and audio quality as well and it would be 'perfect') but marketing were frightened it would take sales from the 701 :-(

This is a good mobile phone, the features are great the graphics are good the reaction is fast. so android phones beware your spot on the limelight will soon be back to nokia.
