Guys, Anybody who would like to purchase this phone then go for it, I got it couple weeks ago and more than happy with it style and operation, the only thing which can be counted as disadvantage is battery life a bit short and week for such great smart.

I want to buy a phone but confused between Nokia N8 and Nokia 701....
My requirements are simple....
I travel a lot
So I need GPS, Internet, Camera, Entertainment and good battery.
Please guide me wif a decision....N8 or 701?

Abhay, 13 Feb 2012Hello all, m thinking to purchase this mobile can you pleas... moregood smartphone overall advantages is 1-bright crisp clear screen 2-good battery life 3-symbian belle is a lot better than any other symbian phone 4-1ghz fast cpu 5- good call quality disadvantages is 1-poor sound quality especialy loud speaker volume is too low 2- very limidted apps.

In my oponion NeoV is ahead in terms of
1- bigger screen 3.7 inch
2- application rich android os
3- skype vodeo and full flash support
Otherwise 701 is ahead of neoV...and it has a very good sound qualiy with solid base.

AnonD-38798, 13 Feb 2012Guys am having a problem with 701, i have been using it for... moreIf your having ur phone with u now,why dont u try to download the firmware and flash your phone using phoenix software,it is very easy to flash there are many articles about this.If it is software problem it will most probably get rectified by this but if problem persist it is definitely hardware problem needs to be repaired.

I couldn't do anything except to turn off the device. One time after I turned it back on, the screen was remained in the froze mode and I ahd to turned it off and on again a number of times before my phone was back to normal.

vikas, 13 Feb 2012excellent phone in this price except sometime you miss auto... moreTry google search there are many call recorder available for download which are not present in ovi store.Also there are many useful apps outside nokia store,you can install third party software outside store safely in symbian unlike other os.

frnds, nothing wrong with memory size. There are two conventions:
(1) Ordinarily: 1000 MB = 1 GB (so 8 GB = 8000 MB)
(2) Scientifically: 1024 MB make 1 GB.
701 has 8000 MB i.e. 7.8 GB (8000/1024=7.8)
Same applies for most computer memory/peripherals.

excellent phone in this price except sometime you miss auto focus camera while photographing documents.
Ovi store is not maintaing quality control , out of 5 recording apps , not a single one is working.Can any one suggest me a call recorder for 701.

Guys am having a problem with 701, i have been using it for past 3 months, about 5 days back when i switched off my mobile for some reason and switched it on, my mobile got stuck during the booting and again restarted and again the same process. i gave it to nokia care and they reinstalled the os, with in two days the same problem happened. Again i visited nokia care but this time they could not re-install the os and said they have to send it to Head office(Delhi). I don't know is the problem with hardware or software.

If u start surfing net continously then after what time your battry starts to drop.
If i surf net continously then after 30-40 the battery starts dropping showing 10-15% initial drop.i just wish to know the time by which the the first drop comes.
