Here's my neutral opinion. I'm not a fan of any brand or OS. I'm a skeptical person. And this opinion is targeted to mid-end and high-end phone only.
In term of OS, belle vs android, compared to android, symbian lacks full integration with fb/twitter and apps available in the market. Essential apps of course available whatever OS u use. Everything else almost the same or just slightly better. So if u prefer simplicity, go for symbian. If u r a tech geek, go for android.
In term of hardware, the biggest disappointment is the lack of AutoFocus. Once again, if u are a simple guy, u just need functions enough for your daily life, this kind of phone is adequate for u. If u r a tech geek hunting for the best, powerful, and ultimate smartphone, there are lot other choice to be consider.

Gsmarena seriously need to hurry up review Symbian Belle phones. Either 700 or 701 or both bcoz this is hot news. I swear I thought I'll never heard of Symbian again but suddenly it fight back. Not bad.

AnonD-19403, 01 Oct 2011Definitely N8if your in to photocapturing every once in a while, then go with N8. if you want to get the Belle, go with the 701 its faster. remember that s^3 like n8 will be updated to symbian belle. just go with what you need cause most likely you never want something you don't need.

No need to bash android. Symbian belle is superb. It just need to catch up in term of apps in the market. I believe with belle the apps going to improve.

This device is getting rave reviews in the Netherlands. By far the best Symbian device ever, and really UI wise very similar in functioning and smoothness than the latest and best Android devices. Really good reviews.

New symbian belle os is terrific,only advantage android have over symbian is more apps.but u can have all the necessary apps on symbian also along with lot of hd games,
Advantages of symbian phone over android and ios will be terrific value for money,much better battery backup,better gpu,os is not hardware straining like other two.
