Hi Fellow NOKIA 701 owners, hope you are all alright. I have never regreted buying this phone after comparing it with N8, N9 and the likes of the Galaxies and iPhone 4S before i bought it. The hardware is awesome. It is a phone that one can have, not so sofiscated but has got all that someone may need in an average phone.
For those of you that happened to catch the Belle FP2 update before it was recalled, none ha talked about the quality of photos taken by the camera. If you had been running on FP1, you very well know that the quality of photos dropped after updating from Belle.
Please give us some information whether it has been improved or it is still the same poor quality of FP1.

I m using 701 from last 6 months. awesome phone but lacks in following points:
* Does not support flash files.. FB videos cannot be played on 701.
* Symbian belle lacks in skype video calling..
* Giant 8mp camera but not auto focus...
* Speaker volume is veerrryyyy loww...
* Installed applications can not intelligently select internet source either Mobile data or WIFI...

Hi All!
Recently I purchased the Nokia 701 mobile with an offer of unlimited Nokia Music for one year. When I tried to copy the songs, these are by default being copied in internal Mass memory of mobile instead of micro sd memory card. The same is happening in case of transfer of files through bluetooth from other mobile. Please suggest settings if any, for how to make the memory as default memory storage. Thanks in advance.

After update my 701 into fp2 i found some problems!!
1. front camera is not working!!
2. there no exit key in camera!!
3. photo can't mark from gellary!!
4. video editor not working!!
5. there is no numiral keyboard in massage!!
Nyc in fp2...
slide unlock is awsome in fp2!! camera style is also nyc!!
Nokia should work on theme effect/bassic effect!! it's very important!!

What ... more700 is not same as 701 many differences not only the screen size less and camera,front camera missing too , very low internal memory, no FM transmitter and very low battery life and price of 700 is droping fast last month it was 260$ and now its only 180$ in dubai

Is that a... morePress *#0000# and then click on options and select check for updates. It will then connect to Internet and search for the updates and install on our request.
Some bugs/problems in FP2 upgrade for Nokia 701
Only Primary camera can be activated, secondary option is unavailable. Secondary might be seen only in Video calls on 3G.
Even though the system supports Hindi language in typing the SMS, the message reader cannot read it, if the message in the inbox is in Devnagari script.

Nokia has suspended the fp2 update. This is the worst thing that can ever happen to a manufacturer. It means the release was done in a casual manner without the quality control having the final approval. Didnt anyone at Nokia bother to take fp2 through the rigorous road test that such updates are supposed to be subjected to? Its better to delay a release by some days than to recall it because it is NOT god for a company's image. Nokia please wake up and take your consumers seriously. My phone is now worse off with fp2 than when it was running on fp1. WHAT A SHAME because even loyalty has a LIMIT Nokia
