I think nokia has stopped the FP2 update, dey want Lumia sales to move up, if FP2 updated is released people will go with symbian not with microsoft. This might be Mr.Elop idea for Lumia sales. Inspite of all the video leaks about FP2, why nokia is not releasing the FP2 update. By doing like this Nokia will loss all their loyal customers.

What u have faced.... When i upgraded my 701 to fp1 i also faced similar probs phone was freezing so i also decided to go for a reset.... And voila my phone also gone dead nthing was goin beyond that four iritating dots.... Dont worry its just a bug... I gabe my phone to nokia care theysent it to hq ... And i got it back... After 12days... Thanks hoped it helps you.!

Neo v [ led baklit lcd] vs 701 [led baklit ips] . 701 has open gl es 2.0 gpu . It has 1000nit p0wer brightnes. 701 has dolby . The belle fp1 is better then ics . The disadvantage of 701 is it has les ram then neo v . Finaly n0kia 701 wins

701, 29 Sep 2012n0kia 701 has nhd display . All android dosent have dual co... moreI am using both nokia 701 and xperia neo v and on comparison between both i would say that we should go for anderoid phone. The reasons are as follows
1. Battery back up is appox. the same.
2. Very very less games on ovi store and if games are available most of games need internet connections, whereas anderoid has 600000 apps and games on its store and can cross ios any time.
3. Symbian s3 is stable platform but anderoid is also not very unstable especially on jelly bean. As many sites say thay jelly bean is as,stable as window phones ie. more stable than symbian.
NOW ADVANTAGES OF NOKIA 701:
1. Good quality sound ie. Digital Dolby
2. Good hardware
I KNOW USERS OF NOKIA 701 WILL BE AGAINST THIS REVIEW BUT ITS THE TRUTH. AND ITS JUST ABOUT THE COMPARISON WITH MID RANGE PHONE NOW IF TOU COMPARE YOUR SYMBIAN WITH HIGH END ANDEROID THEN YOU WILL FIND THAT NOKIA US JUST A WASTE.

AnonD-23327, 30 Sep 2012hello mr first of all 700 and 603 cant be compared with 701... morethats not inough to make the phone worse,,,no matter to upgrade the cpu ,,,i have both 701,and 603,,,and the processing speed is 99%same,,,,as you say your friend changed it for display quality exyreamly unbelevable(its got ips display with extreamly added 1000nits brightness same as in 701) ,, (IPS (in plane switch)is better also better than amoled with better viewing angels and good under sunlight) have both phones at a time play same videos on full brightness and try to find out diffrance,,,,,603 is best phone on this prize tag,,,,
its acctuly very good phone,,,,,like 701;;

AnonD-5502, 29 Sep 2012the new opinion expert adul,,,,,, ,,,,do you have any of t... morehello mr first of all 700 and 603 cant be compared with 701 and then i don't need to read from this site my friends used these mobile and they changed it and i said worse about 603 because it even doesn't have LED display and internal memory is very low and FP1 dint even upgrade the processor to 1.3 ghz like the other phones so i think now u know the reason.....

My gf 701 was freezing terribly, first she told me that the hardware keys & unlock slider not functioning just the touchscreen and the power button,this happens to my n8 sometimes, i usually restart it and its back on track, i did 2 backups (one full backup & other without phone settings and apps but everything else) with Nokia Suite ,i did soft reset ,when restarted ,same thing, hardware keys & unlock slider not functioning ,then tried hard reset, after hard reset, it acts like it's now booting up showing the dots, but soon after just shows black screen, when connected to Nokia Suite it doesn't recognise the phone, is there any way i can fix this by loading back firmware? if so what program should i use?

,,,,do you have any of these phones ,,did you use any of them or you just writing after read the specifications on gsmarena,,,,
till 700 every thing acceptable whatever you write in your view,, but how 603 is wrost please mention in your words,,,,,,

My phone showed a sequence of dots. I cant post links here, but its easy to find and also to repair. So if you can return the phone its better idea

You will have to take the phone to the shop from where you have bought this. They will replace it with a new phone altogether. For me Noia Care Center at my place replaced the phone. Any purchase within 7 days could be replaced immediately so do not delay anymore.
