BTW u cannot see the time on this phone.. or the charge status... or anything else.. without unlocking the keyguard. the mirror effect of the screen means u can ONLY see the display when it is illuminated by the backlight... which turns off after awhile jus like any phone. Yea now i tempted to wear a nasty watch

yo man don't get this phone if u wanna text! I don't care how innovative the typing system is... it is damn slower... ive had it for a week and i am no faster!
i use my old phone for texting! and this phone for pimping..^_^ why couldn't nokia make a voice recognition system for each letter of the alphabet? or for numbers? like instead of saying a persons name to dial... say the actual numbers! that way it would only have to store your voice for 10 digits! instead of each persons name... like duhhh

Okay, I am thinking of getting this phone, because I absolutely adore the unique design of it. The only thing that keeps me from getting it, is the fact, that it doesn't have the "classical" buttons like most of us are used to. I may have to get use to it when writing SMS, but honestly, HOW complicated is it to use? I don't want to buy a phone that ends up being smashed in a corner, because it takes too bloody long to type.

This or Motorola V3 Razr? I think the V3 Razr looks better and is more practical. It is a little more expensive than the 7280 but is far better! check it out in the Motorola section on your left.

i think nokia copied some other mobile manufacturer idea. and.. its a china based coy. -Haier- any idea? check out on their products under this site.

yes this is an inovative phone and it looks good, but it is a designer phone with a designer price tag, if you think its expensive then its not for you, its aimed at the high class market. personally i hate it much prefer samsung D500 but i do appreciate the design trying to push us into the next centuary, were just not ready yet.

This phone is unique in design, although it seems uncomfortable to use, but to have a unique phone there should be sacrefices. If Nokia would have made it easy with SMS buttons then it wouldn't be look like this phone but as a standard one. So chose what you want, to be special or to send SMS!

when u charget the phone in OFF mode, is there a charging indicator on the screen like normal nokia phones?please tell. thanks.

This is a niche market phone, it's not for everyone (as you can tell there is no keypad). The only thing I don't like is the glossy finish. It is a dirt and finger print magnet just like the Sony Ericsson T610 series. In short, it is a phone I'd like to show my friends but wouldn't use on a daily basis.

how the batt life for ur 7280? i fully charged today n didnt even make a call, just received sms, after like 14hours, half power gone. do u think its normal? share with me.

I've got this phone.. It has approx 50 MB of space btw so I don't see why ppl are complainin about memory cuz most phones have like 8 MB. Iono about u ppl... but 50 MB is plenty! Well mine was from HK so maybe it's different than other pplz? Yea the phone takes a lot of getting used to... but haha everytime sum1 sees it they go crazy...especially the women itz almost annoyin havin ur phone passed around every time it gets seen. altho it almost makes it worth the price hah. Nokia has gotta make some voice-to-text add on or sumthin so that texting is easier...i mean the phone has great voice recognition capabilities so i think that's a plausible idea... or maybe a wireless headset wit a tiny number keypad haha we'll see... If yur sick of every phone lookin the same but wit varying shades of silver and the location of the camera moved around... then this unique beauty is 4 u. the other 72XX series are a better choice for hardcore texters.

i am selling this phone for about $590 i got the black on silver one, also, this phone is incorported the circle pad from apple ipod. its up to you if you like the style and size.

Ok im not saying i hate it but i thik every1 should stop gettin at folk who dont like it. I picked it up in a shop the ohter day and had no idea how to work it but still dont hate it. i personally would not have this phone as i prefer a standard design but i have to say that it is pretty cool wot the designers have done and credit to them for trying something new but maybe its just a bit too far out there for now

the size is not very small comparing the overall ratio with N6230 but why most of the features are out. No JAVA, small memory. Too basic for this price. What the hell is this? Rather go for a Samsung X460, small and more memories...although no BT
